We came in after trying to hike a popular location nearby (the weather was awful.) Definitely not a place to typically come into dressed for a hike. It’s high end. That being said, they didn’t judge us and served us like any other customer. Wow! The food is mind blowing here. Probably the best we’ve had on the island. We shared several appetizers and a tuna dish. Absolutely amazing. The atmosphere. The food. The wine. 10/10. Nice little restaurant with good food and good service. Steak tartar and tuna carpaccio was really good. The limpets were also better than any other I’ve had. Fancy restaurant, we went with a bunch of kids and everyone was cool about it, but probably better to go without kids next time. After coming on holidays from UK to Azores and being born in Lisbon Portugal I was expecting a great place full of enthusiasm and character……but since I booked this table a long time ago for dinner I called and changed my reservation for lunch. We arrived at 13:30, the restaurant had 3/4 tables maximum. After being greeted by the waiter which showed us the table we sat down saw the chef/owner that not even greeted us and we ordered our drinks and food. During the service we noticed that the chef was visiting and serving all the remaining tables that were only 3/4 like I stated before. I’m stating this simply because all the places that I’ve been that the chef visits his patrons all should be greeted and spoked to the same way, but here was not like that. Regarding the food….we ordered a picanha for 2 since my wife is from Brasil with rice and black beans and bacon!!….. was ok, her grandmother cooking is much better! But having said that the crepe with pineapple was amazing, hence the 2 stars. So to the owner you should treat all your paying patrons the same level of respect and attention. We came with a group of almost 20 people. Best food on the island - all different meals were amazing. Fresh fish, local beef, delicious wine. Extremely nice service. We had the best time! Thank you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

While the food and drink were outstanding, the waiter was quite aggressive about bringing a 2nd bottle though we were able to avoid at the last moment to his dismay. And we were quite shocked when the bill came for the whole fresh fish which was listed as €49 but they charged us x 4 = €198 for the 4 of us who ate the fish. They did not mention that the price on the menu was per person. Upon questioning is, they simply explained that’s how they charge. So we paid. Done. Stopped by for dinner. Looking for a good meal away from the usual tourist attractions and boy did this spot deliver. The place was busy right up to close on a weeknight! Ordered the tuna pate, garlic bread, octopus, Brazilian steak and a lime cheesecake. Everything was spectacular. The service was great, the waitstaff was very helpful and courteous. We will definitely be back, a can’t miss spot!

Had the tuna “pate”, fish soup and the prawns stew - all of them excellent! The place is tucked away in this…village? but the culinary experience is definitely way above the location! Most expensive diner we had, but maybe the best. Missing some outdoor seating but this a common thing in Azores. What an a great experience. The waiter and waitress are very nice and extremely helpful. We have fish soups, mushrooms with garlic, large ham board, tuna steak, grill octopus, snapper. Everything is very good, very delicious, and fresh. You have to try this restaurant if you come over to this island. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
