Put this on your list!! Prakesh's Indian cooking is legit and this restaurant is a gem of a find after a full day exploring the caves. Make sure you leave enough time for the full experience as prep is not focused on speed but on deliciousness ❤️

This is an absolute gem for the traveler! Amazing Indian food, we tried various curries, chapattis, puri and egg rolls. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and the menu is extensive! Everything we tried was just perfect.
Being stuck in Vieng Xai because of waiting for our Vietnamese visa doesn't seem like such a bad thing after all...😊

Me and my husband stayed in Laos for a week and this is our go to restaurant. We were actually surprise that this restaurant exist in the area. They have a lot of options, Indian and Lao cuisine. The owner is very accommodating and friendly, we even ask him to surprise us once and he cooked some sort of Chinese chicken dish and Indian curry. Everything is fresh and yummy. Highly recommended.

Amazing place!
About service:
Indian family speaking fluent english. Great for help, buying simcard, to top up sim card, tourist info of the area or advice at which place to stay and which one to avoid. To bad we checked in at a place on the water before we discovered this place. Also money exchange possible but the Bcel atm (cheapest ATM to withdraw money from in Lao) is just 100meters on the right seen from inside the restaurant.
About the food:
Great food for all day around. Great breakfest set with all included fruit, eggs, pancake/bread or granola with milk or soy milk and coffee. Granola comes all the way from vientiane! All for fixed price around 2.5euro.
Dinner both Lao as Indian options including lentils, chick peas etc. Great proteins for vegan and vegetarian! Also fresh juices and all kinds of meat and even shrimps and squid.
Every dish is prepared fresh so take some time to eat here.
We can highly recommend this place as well as the town. There is an impressive cave tour about the secret war with America, some oke stays, a bcel atm as I mentioned, a waterfall, a good hiking loop on the south west (see Vieng Xai Loop South West on wikiloc for a 17km hike with 180 degrees hilltopview), an official cityviewpoint and not to forget: this great restaurant. A great place to stop overnight if you come or go to vietnam!

Delicious Indian food and great hospitality! We had Dinner and Breakfast there - both were delicious! Prakash and his wife run an efficient restaurant with a variety of meal options - Veg and non veg, Indian and some Laos dishes. We were pleasantly surprised with proper home made Rotis and Parathas! It's definitely worth more than 1 visit to try a few dishes and chatting to Prakash! Hope to visit again sometime! Thanks for your great food and friendly service.

Nice food, big menu for Lao and Indian food. They even have western breakfast and vegetarian options. The owner is very friendly and speaks English very well. Best place we ate around here. Try the roti as dessert!

Nice restaurant in the heart of the historic place. With great effort, the hardworking owner and staff survive in this sinister time. Standard menu of Asian mixed cuisines, with decent service. View of the city from the viewpoint, and the restaurant can be seen at the crossroads, across from the VivO telephony shop #capriolobike
After crossing the border between Vietnam and Laos, driving 3 hours in the dark on the "roads" of Laos, I happened to find this awesome restaurant where they serve authentic Indian food. I haven't been to Indian yet, but I come from Paris, have lived in London, so based on my humble experience, I can say that this is really good Indian cuisine. I think they also serve local food but what's the point. It is an Indian restaurant after all :-D I went to eat there 3 times by the way !
Lovely people and great food. Lalit and Prakash are not only super nice, but they are a treasure trove of information too. Highly recommend this Indian restaurant in Viengxai!
