Edit #2: I was the first customer of the day today and saw the sushi chef begin preparing my order, two identical sushi rolls, at 11:22am, 21 minutes after I placed my order. As soon as he started it, the waitress said "He's almost done with your order". No, he isn't, I can see that he just started, because the sushi bar is right in front of the dining room. Just tell me the truth. I know there were WiFi problems today, but if that is the case, then open up late. The restaurant is supposed to be ready to go when it opens, not still prepping. No reason for the very first customer of the day to wait 35 minutes for food delivery after placing an easy order. The sushi is sooo good, so I put up with the wait time, but still... A 35 minute wait would be reasonable at noon, but at 11am, there is no excuse. Edit: I have ordered several times over the phone now and it is working. This place has my favorite sushi in Mississippi. My favorite is the Axl roll. The fried salmon roll is also delicious. It is warm and fried without being full of that rubbery tempura breading. There is always plenty of seating. When I dined in, my server was attentive. There lots of options and the sushi is reasonably priced. Hate the lighting. It's dark other than the giant windows at the front so when you're facing the entrance it's so bright you have to squint to see the person in front of you but the environments fine otherwise. Staff was nice. The food was old and some of it was expired. The avocado was partially brown, the raw fish was all stale and old, the cucmbers were translucent and mushy, the arugula on my sashimi salad was going bad so pieces were black and gooey. The portion sizes weren't the worst but definitely not enough to be filling and they drowned everything with an insane amount of sauce. I've been here before a few years back and enjoyed it but based on the lunch I just had I don't plan on going back. I have eaten here frequently and have never been disappointed. The service and food have always been great. However, I popped in this evening to grab a quick roll before work. I had only 45 minutes for dinner, so I thought this was a good choice. The server was super friendly and prompt as always, and I took a few minutes to make my selection, and I ordered two rolls. I was the only customer in the restaurant when I placed my order. 15 minutes later, the server came and apologized for the wait and said that the kitchen was just about to sauce my rolls. Another 15 minutes went by... A few other customers had trickled in by now, and I still didn't have my food. I was watching the staff, and they were spending more energy talking than preparing orders. Running out of time, I asked for my order to go, and asked why it was taking so long. The answer was that the kitchen had decided to take care of all of the take out orders before making my food. When I was finally able to eat my food later, the rolls tasted as though they were thrown together in a hurry and were not at all the quality I remember from previous visits. 30 minute wait time and bad food on top of it... I won't be coming back for sure. Pretty sad about it, honestly... $30 something dollars for 2 rolls, Miso, and mediocre food. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

The food is always so great here! But, every time we have come in the last few weeks, the service has not been so great. I don’t know if they are short-staffed, but it takes a while for our orders to be taken. Today, we stopped by & waited 15 minutes at a table and were never greeted and our order was never taken, so we went somewhere else. My first time here and eating sushi.I ordered “Thriller”. We had the wontons for an appetizer. It was great! I loved it and my daughter and her friend did too!! Service was great. Clean bathrooms. Will be back. Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

I went to this sushi place with my friend. My friend is the one who suggested this place, and I am so glad that we went there. I can still feel the sauce toppings on the sushi we ordered, it was absolutely amazing, like the way we wanted. We ordered two sushi rolls and it was enough for two of us. We ordered Cyndiroll and Jailhouseroll. Both of ours favorite was Cyndiroll. Loved the decorations inside and service as well. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Traveling through Hattiesburg and decided to stop at Rock N Roll Sushi since they serve sushi and hibachi. The service was slow even though the place wasn't busy. The waitress sat at the counter and was on her phone the whole time. We placed our order and it took forever for us to receive our food. The sushi was good, but the hibachi was cold when we got it. Ordered steak hibachi and the steak was tasteless and undercooked. The ginger salad had a weird taste and the eel sauce also had a weird taste. Definitely will not be stopping at Rock N Roll Sushi again. I was not impressed by the restaurant, and could have gotten better food and service at any other Japanese or Chinese restaurant. Great place, Great sushi! Mildly pricy but worth it! There are a great variety of rolls and hibachi! This is the place to try if you have never has sushi before! Drinks are yummy. Atmosphere is fun and inviting. Wait service was quick and polite! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sir Loin

This is a really cool restaurant. It's a bit dimly lit, with classic rock decor, and a quaint, yet very nice bar. Definitely one of the best places in town to go out for a quiet date without breaking the bank. Fantastic for college students! You may want to look for somewhere else if you've got a big party, the restaurant doesn't have lots of room for parties over 5. The food is good and the staff is knowledgeable and fun. Go here for your next date-night. Happy Dining!
