One of our first stops while we stayed in the area...we did a beach walk and ended up finding this place. The service was great and we tried the ceviche which was very good. Also had a couple margaritas which were also very good...place is clean and again the service was great I am sure before we leave we will try this place again

Food was served less than warm. Presentation was amazing. Wife’s margarita way too sour. They were able to seat our group of 9 without a reservation. Called a van/cab before we had finished paying. Atmosphere was less than good as our karaoke band competed with Elvis at the restaurant next door not good outcome

Stopped for lunch on our last day in the area and glad we did. Try the jicama and shrimp tacos, you won’t be disappointed. Beautiful shaded outdoor terrace and very family friendly. Like everywhere else on the coastal strip the prices are American level.

We are a party of 5 ranging from 12 to 52. We had steak and shrimp, fajitas, salmon, a burger, and a salad. We had calamari and guacamole for as appetizers. We also had ice cream, creme brulee and a lava cake for desert. All the food was very good. The atmosphere was nice (there was live music). The service was fantastic. The waiter was attentive and friendly. It wad a fabulous night out with our family. I highly recommend. It was Monday night, if that helps.

Shrimp Burger
This place has a top notch menu that is very broad and has something for most everyone. Staff is very accommodating. I asked for the tuna done with just a bit of pink in the center and to be sure the chef came to ask himself so he could get it right, which he did perfectly. Highly recommend!

They took in our fresh Bonita from the day with open arms and turned it into an amazing multi-course meal with authentic Puerto Vallarta 🇲🇽 flavor. Ceviche appetizers, cooked 3 ways and served with house tequila. The perfect way to cap off our fishing day. Thank you Rivera Staff for your hospitality!

My wife and I tried this restaurant today around 11 am and I ordered the breakfast, rancheros which was a fried egg on corn tortillas with ham and refried beans and potatoes with a light red sauce on the eggs. Great breakfast, my wife had the chicken enchiladas and she liked that. The service was very good , restaurant was clean as were bathrooms. Good traditional food without trying to make it upscale foo foo food. Employees were very nice and helpful. A fun relaxing restaurant..

UPDATE: Back again for round 2 ,a couple months later .
Again, impressed by the very relaxing open air environment. The food was good but not great. The exception was the crab cake appetizer. Very tasty , loaded with crab which was located on a stripe of unique and smooth mango sauce.
House salad was ok . Lacked something I couldn't put my finger on .
The fajitas were ok too. A Teeny, tiny fried cuplet which held micro amounts of guacamole and salsa accompanied the fajitas ( see picture). In a town with mega fajita choices this ranks a middling choice. Not great / not bad.
Prices were reasonable but a bit spendier than up or down the road.
I felt there was a lack of value for the money
Final take...come for the crab cakes and the ambiance but go to Zenizas for fajitas or any number of better choices in Nuevo Vallarta.
The food was pretty good here. It is on the more expensive side for relatively basic food (for breakfast, at least). But it was a good spot. I imagine it would be a good place to go watch a game as they have several televisions mounted around the restaurant.
