Beef taco plate & pork burrito. So good. The best taco I've ever had!!!! So crispy shell and melted cheese with shredded beef was heaven. There's not much place to eat but you can eat in your car. Best tacos we've had in 10 months and you might make new friends when you pull up. Flavor and portions were great. We have been traveling from the East coast to the west Coast and were so pleased with our beef/barria tacos and carne asada burritos. the rice and beans were delicious too. We were able to make one more trip to Rico's before we left, check their hours but sun Mon 230-5 worked for us. Food can get very expensive, but we felt their prices were fair and fulfilling. Great burrito. I got a side of consomme and love that my burrito held up it's integrity while I dipped it in and took bites. Not once did it think about falling apart. Honestly the best burrito we've ever eaten! It even beats anything we've had in Mexico! Generous portions and really beautiful home made tortillas! Also run by very friendly people! Being from Houston, it is hard to find good tacos in different states but Rico’s was pretty solid! Reminded me of being home and eating tacos - which I’m sure is hard to do when you are in Hawai’i! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Wow this place is really Great! Birria tacos were absolutely amazing. The consumme was perfect for dipping the tacos. The owners are very nice and polite. Fantastic taco place in Volcano village, very close to the National park entrance. Birria and carnitas tacos were amazing! The plate comes with 3 tacos, rice and beans, great deal. Super friendly cheff, fast service, good music, parking... come here to refill after the whole day in the park! As a Guatemalan I am always on the hunt for the perfect balance of spice, smoke and cilantro. Rico’s Tacos delivers on all three. The Al Pastor street tacos were tangy and moist with a hint of smoke and clove. They left a nice heat in my mouth afterwards which is my absolute favorite level of spice. The sauce was hot and perfect for an ocasional dip or to add to the beans. The Birria street tacos were good. The meat was very simple but the cilantro, onion and jalapeño touched it up nicely. Best tacos on the island! *Google says they are in Volcano and closed. They are currently in a black food truck by the AutoZone in Hilo.
