Incredible food. Every meal was thoroughly thought of with the perfect mix of flavours, colours and texture. I went for the menu which was perfectly suited to my tastes, and we also tested the lamb soup. Everything was great, special mention for the lamb ribeye 🙌⭐.

Wow! We walked in without a reservation and were swiftly accommodated with outstanding service. The food was second to none. Seriously amazing! We all got different dishes and all were impressively compliments to the chef and team who created the menu! Not touristy, just amazing food prepared with intention. Veronica was an incredible server and took great care of our group. Thank you, Veronica and Reykjavik Kitchen for a great experience!

We had a nice evening at Reykjavik Kitchen. They had many gluten- free options, all marked on the menu. The dishes were creative, but the flavor combinations weren’t all complimentary. The portions were also small for the price. I ordered the Lamb Soup (hearty but could have used more lamb) and the lamb carpaccio with dates, blueberries, and arugula (tasty and balanced flavor profile). My friend ordered the salmon, which she said was well cooked but the sauce took the dish in a different direction. I was still a bit hungry after the meal, albeit paying quite a bit. The service was also a bit slow compared to other restaurants we’ve been to in Iceland. Overall, a good experience but I would not be back if I return to Reykjavik.

Lamb Carpaccio
I came in at the opening of dinner without a reservation. They let me sit by the window since I'd be done by 6:30. I ordered the three course meal which included a coffee cured salmon appetizer that included melon slices and granola. The main dish was a cod fish with peppers. The dessert was a custard with strawberries and caramel. The servers were very friendly and prompt. The meal was nice. Wonderful experience.

Coffee Cured Salmon
We were here on vacation and I happened to come across this delightful restaurant thanks to google. The service was incredible. The food was out of this world good. I ordered the traditional lamb soup and the lamb ribeye, and a hot cocoa with baileys. My boyfriend had the seafood soup and the black pasta. I have never had a better meal, and he said the same about his! We shared the creme brulee for dessert and it was absolutely perfect. Please please do yourself a favor and go eat there!

Fantastic dinner tonight! Each dish was delicious and meticulously prepared. The fish were all cooked perfectly and the sauces were flavorful. Would definitely return. Dessert was good, but not memorable.

I just gotta say - WOW! I had wonderful meal here. Not only was it super delicious and unique, but the presentation was like a work of art! All the food I had in Iceland was very good, but this place stands out as the best meal I had for sure.

Went on a Saturday - it gets busy and they were turning away people without bookings, which tells you something in itself - booking advised to void disappointment!!
Really nicely prepared food with an Icelandic / Scandi heritage. It's not cheap, but nowhere is. The food is certainly worth it!
They had an interesting set of Christmas specials - the mixed starter with herring, reindeer paté & potato salad was excellent 👍

Great place for us to have our first meal in Iceland. We landed in the morning and went to sleep in our hotel room until around 1pm.
We were walking to the town and just found this spot. So pleasantly surprised. I got the 3 course menu with the Cod as the main, and we also order the beef tenderloin and cauliflower main.
The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and they tasted great. Nice balance of flavors and I was not expecting such a gourmet experience when we stopped in. Highly recommend this place, we made another reservation for other members of our party for dinner tomorrow.
The Cod entree really was spectacular. Definitely would recommend.

Roasted Cauliflower
The staff here are so friendly and efficient . The 3 course meal featuring Lamb Rib Eye was outstanding . The delicious bread and butter served before the meal is excellent. Even on a Tuesday in November it was packed and i was lucky to get a table without a reservation .
