If you are choosing between Temple Guimarães and Royaru, like it happened to us, go for Royaru and you will make the right choice. We went on Jan 1st, which means that normally fish restaurants serve frozen fish due to delays in shipment over public holidays but we gave it a go and were blown away by how fresh the sushi tasted, the presentation and care from the staff. Everything was prepared fresh and arranged beautifully, the staff was very courteous and would check up on us every once in a while and bring new plates. If you want a delicious and fresh buffet experience, this is your spot in Guimarães. We are so happy we discovered and place and will be coming back here on our next visit. Gorgeous Sushi House in the city of Guimarães. The ambience is bright, clean and lovely decorated. The staff is nice and the food to die for! Well prepared, fresh and with a wide range of options I certainly recommend you trying the Rodízio possibility (eat as much as you want, ordering from the menu). None of the food I ordered disappointed, well on the contrary. It's located off the center and it's a bit hidden but Google will certainly take you there! Go early as the place tends to be crowded.

One of the fine Sushi Restaurant in guimaraes with variety of sushi and hot food as well. They have menu as much as u can eat which runs everyday. Most important the fish was very fresh and attentive service. Just During the weekend quiet busy messy so should have reservation otherwise have to stay for long wait. They have take Away service as well but u have to present urself not a delivery service yet. Good place for aniversary ,birthday parties and have parking service too☺

The most important - food is not great. Sushi is not very good, it's best to choose tempura because while eating the raw pieces, you can taste that it has been prepared earlier and it's not very fresh and made right before serving, like a sushi should be. The tables, glasses and even the menu is often greasy so I recommend using the online menu available through QR code. The staff is divided, some of them are very nice, some are not. When being seated at the table by the owner, you can sense he's not there for the guests but rather for himself and for the praise and he seems to have his own choices on who to be nicer to. While giving the receipt in the end, he rarely looks at you, he pays much more attention to his phones. The place is very big though and that's a plus because you rarely or never need to wait for a table.
