Service was good, lady was lovely and friendly. Salad with shrimps had 2 shrimps. Tuna steak was ok. Vegetable soup ok. Prawns had weird taste and texture, not recommending.

I don't recommend the espetada meat. besides coming in a small portion for its value, it was full of charcoal. I had to be cleaning and checking all the time. It had a very unpleasant taste despite being tender. and in the end he didn't question whether he was satisfied. the fries gave the impression that they were undercooked. which was unpleasant. The only reason she stayed was because she felt hungry.

Like someone else mentioned I cannot understand the poor reviews. Especially as some profiles are locked. We eat here every time we come to Madeira and every time the meal has been very good for the money. The waitress is sometimes a bit pushed as she is usually the only one working. Had a terrific evening meal. Appetizers and meals were both delicious. White wine Sangria was freshly made and very tasty. The service was nothing short of amazing. Not the fastest place, but most people on vacation are not usually rushed. Can’t understand the lower rated reviews. Food was good, not the best we had on Madeira, but beef tastes good and prices were fair for the location near the harbour and historic center of funchal. We waited very long until food was delivered but quality was not poor like others told before. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Absolutely terrible. DO NOT GO HERE. First, the service was very very slow. We were seated for 15 minutes before the server took our orders. We then had to wait an hour for the food to come. Second, when the food came, the tuna I order was so dry I had to drink water with every bite. As well, the tomato slice they served was rotten in the corner. Third, my friend ordered a steak with mushroom sauce. The steak was COMPLETELY RAW in the middle. It wasn't edible (unlike medium rare steak, which is). When he told the waitress, she argued with him and left a bad taste in our mouth, similar to the food here. Lastly, another friend ordered the scabbard fish, which was not great at all. It was below average. It was still edible though. Overall, I do not recommend eating here at all. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else.

Warning! Spare yourself and don't eat here! Had to wait very long before I could even make an order. The Tuna Steak was mediocre but worst of all was that I got a food poison with diarrhea and fever! Service Dine in Price per person €20–25

Woman who serve food was very nice and helpful :) I ordered Lapas (limpets) and Espetada. Both were very tasty and I payed only 17€ in total for both. This place is also in the really peacefull street so you can enjoy silence and food :) 5/5

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE 0/5 stars. We are a group of 5 visiting from overseas. After a day of hiking and walking around the beautiful Maderia Island. We came across this restaurant in Funchal on a Saturday night. The staff (yes singular) seated our group inside the restaurant. As the sole server, we understood that the establishment was busy with another group and waited to be served. Fifteen minutes passed before our group was asked what we wanted to order. Four of us ordered the set meals with the soup, and fish/meat entree. We received our meal after ONE HOUR of waiting. The soup was bland and lacked flavour. The steak and mushroom combo that I received was tough and chewy, but the worse part, was it was partly RAW (photo attached)! My friends' tuna steaks were tough and rubbery in texture. We left more than half of our food untouched. When brought up to the waitress, she was rude, disrespectful and dismissive. She did not care for the health and safety of the customers.
