The best food of our trip so far. Nothing like the tourist traps all around this place! We had a lovely time in this small and cozy restaurant. Super traditional really really good food prepared by an abuelita and her family. They have really good vegetarian options. I for sure would recommend the carrot cake, it was the best I have ever had in my life!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ Price per person $1–100

Excellent quality food, huge portions, incl a few good veg options. Family run. You can watch your food being cooked too. We ate here twice (brunch and supper) during our one day visit to Tepoztlan. Very good value esp in a high priced tourist town. Definitely recommend for good quality family style food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Great and cozy spot that's slightly off the beat and path of the main street but the food is superb and tastes more authentic than offerings on the main street which consist of mostly bar food. Close to mainstreet, great portions and savory dishes. I got pancakes and were extra fluffly! I paid $85 for the breakfast combo and got fruit and coffee with my pancakes; not super cheap but for the portions, location and flavor I feel it was fair. There was Mexican music in the background, which I don't know if it is always like that or just coincidence - it was a great touch on a Saturday morning <3

Small restaurant with delicious food and a very nice atmosphere. We came back again and the salad, carnes, plato del dia, and flan de cafe have been amazing. Friendly local joint. Fresh, delicious portions and generous too! They have WiFi as well. Close enough to the main road but nicely tucked away on a peaceful side street at the same time. The guacamole and pollo a la plancha were delicious. Loved my experience here!
