After visiting Davis Square, you can look over the menu at this bar. Visit Redbones Barbecue to taste perfectly cooked pork sandwiches, st. Louis style ribs and potato salads. You will be served tasty beignets, banana pudding and waffles. Delicious margaritas, draft beer or craft beer are the best drinks of this place. It's nice to try great tea, latte or lemonade. It's easy to find this spot due to its convenient location. Prices are found good here. You will appreciate the fine decor and exotic atmosphere of this bar. Courteous, fast, respectful phone service and very friendly people when I picked up the order. The restaurant has outdoor tables that are cute and the interior decor is kitschy in a good way and plenty of tables and seats. However the food was largely disappointing. Pulled pork and pulled chicken were completely under seasoned and flavorless. The greens were missing flavor from oil, salt, garlic (anything!). All we tasted was a hint of sugar. The Mac n Cheese was also under seasoned. We disagreed about the hush puppies. I thought they were cooked fine but boo thought they were undercooked and doughy inside. The fried pickles started off tasty at the beginning when we first picked them up but by the time we got the food home they were too greasy because the fryer’s oil temp may not have been hot enough. The hush puppies came with a vinegar based sauce that we thought didn’t balance with the hush puppies. I am used to a sweet dipping sauce for hush puppies, not a sour dipping sauce. The only thing that was done right was the burnt ends. They were QUITE flavorful, tasty, and left us wanting more. Overall, we thought that the portions on the meat platter with two sides (each side provided was only 1/2 cup) was just too small. We won’t return. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes ⅓ lb Sliced Brisket or Burnt Ends
I have been multiple times both eating in and takeout and every time I always enjoy everything. The brisket and burnt ends are out of this world. The cornbread is also a star. Price per person $20–30

OMG. I guess I hadn't been here since before COVID. The ambiance has changed in a very sad direction due to I guess the attempt to deal with the pandemic's restrictions. But they haven't changed back. The bar has been mostly stripped down - the beer wheel long gone, and drink selections limited. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon which MIGHT explain how dead the place was, but then I remembered I've never been there at any time when it wasn't at least half full. The food was still decent but served in to go containers, because as our bartender told us, "the ceramic is gone." Excellent reviews here seem to be mostly by people who have not been here during the old times. As other people have noted, the prices have seemed to increase more than most, without the past excellent service. Despite the owner's notes on the redbones website, I'm afraid the Redbones of olden days is gone. So sad. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
Food was cold, they blamed uber eats but I got my food about 25 min after ordering and it was COLD. The beignets were hard, stale, and hollow and the Mac and cheese didn't have any real cheese. It's probably not even made fresh. I was so disappointed and got a refund from uber so I could order from somewhere else. Service Delivery Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 2

This place is so tasty! For being in Mass the taste is very good, and I'm from Texas so I have been around to a few bbq joints in my day. The atmosphere feels like im back in Texas too with the painted walls and I even spotted a lone star beer there. Incredible. 10/10 would recommend! Wow… talk about a let down. Wanted to go here for awhile and was almost completely let down. The only positive was the cheap beer and tbh it does stand out in terms of what you’d pay at most Boston restaurants. 3-5 dollar beers just aren’t a thing anymore unless you find a dive The food and service were the biggest letdowns. After ordering our first round of drinks, it took over 20 minutes for someone to come over and take our order. The place was empty too so being busy wasn’t the issue. The actual food was mediocre. The fried chicken was soggy. Not sure how they couldn’t get it to crisp. The ribs were dry and flavorless. It was also weird that everything was served in a to go container with no option of having it plated. Honestly it seems like a tourist trap at this point. I went with someone who grew up in Somerville and he was embarrassed that he had recommended it. It appears that the Redbones of old is no more. The food and cocktail drinks was good except for the Mac & cheese, I thought it looked and tasted like the boxed stuff from Kraft. I also thought that it was very interesting that they served my food in plastic/styrofoam to go boxes instead of plates. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Recommended dishes Buffalo Wings 8
We had the three types of ribs, we could not decide which one was the best. The choice of the music, with the System of a Down, was also a surplus. The waitress was really polite and thoughtful. Nice experience. Maybe the French fries were not the best. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Redbones babyback ribs are my new Death Row meal. I cannot stress enough how good the ribs are. the best flavor and fall off the bone. Both the classic and spicy BBQ sauces are delicious. I like it with mac and cheese. I’m not crazy about the fries but they’re homemade! The biscuits with homemade peach jam send me into orbit - UNREAL. I have to restrain myself from coming daily but I will be back!! Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes BBQ Sauce
