Was at the farmers market in California Street and happened upon Kowa Ramen. Wide menu, great service, food was delicious. The whole family enjoyed the meal. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I tried this place for the first time recently, and was really impressed. I was in the mood for curry, so I got the Karaage Curry, which was absolutely delicious. Crispy juicy chunks of chicken that paired perfectly with the rich beef curry. My curry came with a nice side salad as well, which was more than just some romaine lettuce -- there was tofu, seaweed, and tomato as well. My wife and daughter both got ramen (one got shio, the other miso), which they really enjoyed. Service was very friendly, and the place is very open, bright, and clean. We'll definitely come back! We stumbled onto this place looking for lunch on a busy Sunday. We got an outdoor table pretty quickly, ordered our food, it came in a reasonable amount of time. The food was delicious, and the service was actually really really good, friendly, they checked on us often. We loved our ramen, and our katsu curry. Even the French fries, which are a little odd to have on this menu, were delicious!

Ramen Kowa is so atmospheric! Spending time in this place was such a pleasure! The staff is nice and the food was served in less than 15 minutes. The dishes had quite a variety and taste, I got to try the fried rice, classic shoyo ramen, and katsu curry, all of which satisfied my taste buds. Overall, I highly recommend everyone try Ramen Kowa! A very nice, clean place with a pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, spectacular service, Alex was our star waiter of the night, very friendly, and quick to serve food and drinks, we really had a good time here. Came here with my mom and absolutely loved everything about it! We were seated instantly and chose an outdoor table since the day was so nice. It is located in downtown and the street was closed off which was great. I got the miso ramen and my mom got the shio ramen and both were very flavorful. I would also recommend the fries with their okonomi sauce it is so delicious. Since we are Japanese, we have been looking for an authentic Japanese ramen restaurant and this is our favorite we have tried. There even was a lunch special where you could choose a ramen with a $5 side. The owner is originally from Japan and is so kind. Tonkotsu Ramen tasted okay but Tonkatsu Curry and wasn’t really the best. Tbh I didn’t really enjoy the vibes. The service could be better. Overall, it was okay. Ramen was beyond my expectations.
