It took me awhile to remember to write this review but we loved our experience here. We came here after the aquarium on Christmas Day after not being able to get in at another restaurant and we were welcomed with open arms. We hardly speak Japanese and the owners were an older couple that didn’t speak English, but we both made every effort to communicate and have conversation anyway. The food was great and ordering was simple, but the hospitality really stole the show for us. We can’t express enough how nice it was to feel so welcomed and at home when we would normally be back with our family in the states. I will remember eating here for a long time. ありがとうございました ☺️

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a local Japanese restaurant in Okinawa that not only served amazing Okinawa noodles but also provided an exceptional cultural experience. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the Okinawa noodle dish. With its unique blend of flavors and textures, it was a culinary masterpiece that left me craving for more. The noodles were perfectly cooked, boasting a delightful chewiness that added a wonderful dimension to each bite. The broth was rich and flavorful, infused with traditional Okinawan ingredients that gave it a distinct and tantalizing taste. The dish was further elevated by the addition of fresh toppings, adding a burst of color and freshness to the overall presentation. It was a culinary delight that showcased the authentic flavors of Okinawa.
What truly made this dining experience exceptional was the owner's dedication to ensuring that language barriers did not hinder our understanding and enjoyment. Despite our languages being different, the owner went above and beyond to carefully explain each dish, its ingredients, and the cultural significance behind it. Their patience and willingness to engage with us made the experience not only delicious but also educational and enriching. It was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel valued as guests and allowed us to fully appreciate the flavors and traditions of Okinawan cuisine.
The ambiance of the restaurant further added to the overall experience. The rustic decor, traditional Japanese seating, and soft background music created an atmosphere of authenticity and charm. It felt like stepping into a hidden gem that was cherished by locals and offered a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Okinawa.
In conclusion, my dining experience at this local Japanese restaurant in Okinawa with its amazing Okinawa noodles and attentive owner was truly memorable. The mouthwatering flavors, coupled with the owner's efforts to bridge the language gap, created a dining experience that was not only delicious but also culturally immersive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Okinawa and a warm, welcoming dining atmosphere.
I really enjoyed the delicious ramen and the nice gyoza and the chilled relaxed atmosphere. It felt like this place hasn’t changed for a long time and so I thought of it as a great traditional experience. The owners are very friendly and relaxed, thank you very much.
