I came twice that day, one time for lunch with colleagues and dinner with family. Tried variety of choices and satisfied with it. I love the mushroom soup with garlic bread, ordered both time that day 😂

Good place for Penang Baba nyonya food style Nasi Ulam and Nasi Kerabu set with the latter being the best in my opinion. Affordable pricing considering the work that goes into preparation for such dishes and still maintaining quality. Their drinks such as Teh C Peng and hainanese coffee is also delicious and not watered down. This place is always busy during lunch and dinner time. If coming in big group for dinner, better make reservations to avoid disappointment. Parking is either inside Taiping Sentral mall, or the outdoor paid street parking. Would definitely return again for the nasi kerabu.

First visit to this cafe located in Taiping Central Mall. The food taste alright and vegetarian fried rice was good. Salted egg chicken chop not bad but the fried chicken was on dry side and not juicy. The ice cream dessert at around RM15 is a ripoff because it is not what it’s shown in the picture. There is no Biscoff but instead some low quality chocolate stick.
Music was loud and makes it difficult to have conversations. Avoid sitting at the middle row because was knock twice by the waitress passed by behind due to the narrow pathway.
Really nice place to have lunch here. We loved nyonya food and it's perfect and cukup rasa. The nyonya curry chicken is cukup lemak and the chicken is soft. The nyonya chicken chop is crispy and delicious. Recommended to come here with friends and family!

Nyonya Chicken Chop
First time coming to taiping sentral mall and we stopped here for lunch at Raintree Kitchen. This eatery mainly serves halal nyonya cuisine as well as other local and western dishes.
We ordered nasi kerabu with fried chicken. Hainan fried rice with fried chicken and blackpepper chicken chop. The hainan fried rice was excellently cooked and savoury. Fried chicken was great as well, you can taste the herbs and spices used for the fried chicken.
Blackpepper chicken was delectable, and the blackpepper sauce is made with their own recipe as you can taste the distinctive flavour than the usual blackpepper chicken chop. The portion of the chicken chop was sizeable as well, if compared to some other places.
The food here were rich in flavour using quality ingredients. Definitely a restaurant to check out when in Taiping.

Very good basically. We ate on a very busy day, the kitchen staff struggled with the volume, we waited quite a long time by Malaysia standards for our food and it didn't arrive altogether. The food was good and the waiter service also good.

Waited for an hour+ but the food was not served at all. We understand that most of restaurant will be very crowded during CNY. But the other tables came later than us and yet they got their food served much earlier than us. The waiter was also rude and claiming that we placed the orders later than the other tables. At the end we canceled the order and left immediately. Very poor service and they were not prepared for this festive season at all.

What a surprise!
I am not a mall person, nor do I expect to find good food in one.
But when I stumbled upon this place, found it has nyonya cuisine, and didn't feel it overpriced specially with the couple combo, i've decided to give it a try.
We ordered the nyonya combo.
I loved every bite of it, especially the chicken curry with that rice, it blew my mind. The curry has the exact balance of flavors for me, maybe a bit too spicy for some people, but perfect for me.
It was exactly the right portion for two.
My only issue is that one cup of the delicious dessert (forgot the name), didn't feel compatible with a two person meal I mean could we share that? Move it out into two cups? We don't have an extra empty cup.. and it will mess it up, i suggest they make two smaller cups of that instead of one.
The lemon grass drink was a bit underwhelming though. But maybe it's always like that, first time trying it.
