Good food and service here. Probably not many Indian restaurants in this area. The server was honest when asked for his recommendations, such as the biryani not being the authentic Dum style and that the butter chicken was sweet (to suit the Kiwis) and that the spice levels could be altered to Indian styles if required. The food arrived pretty quickly and was fresh and hot. We tried the garlic naans, dal makhani and chicken tikka masala. Give them a go! The food, the service, the atmosphere, the price were top notch. I ordered lamb briyani and garlic nan cheese. they were superb and so delicious. Came to Te Anau for holiday and so happy that I decided to eat here to end my day. Really recommended!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I ordered saag chicken and samosas and garlic naan for takeaway, but unfortunately when I got home the samosas had gone missing. (So check your order when picking up.) But the rest of the food was outstanding, great flavors and high quality. Would definitely go back when I'm in the area again! We ordered the lamb saag and lamb Rogan rosh and plain nann bread. The lamb itself was fantastic but the sauce was watery and oily with minimal flavor. The curries were quite flavorless and really not authentic. Not many pieces of chicken and paneer, and the Lamb curry was terribly oily, my husband wouldn't even eat it. The Samosa were the only things that tasted good but they were small. When ordering online it said predicated wait time 15 minutes, and then we had to wait over an hour for our food. Food was delicious! We shared spring rolls for a starter, one order of chicken tikka masala and two orders of naan. All were tasty and we had plenty of food and drank two local beers. The restaurant was busy! Any delay in service was due to being full but they turned tables quickly and every member of the staff was working hard. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
