The chocolate clams (5 piece) at this restaurant are SO GOOD!!!! We went back just for them. They aren’t your normal chocolate clams, they make them into a sort of soup right in the shell. It is tangy, salty, and just the right texture and flavor combination. We were served both times by Rogelio (Roger) and he was FANTASTIC and tended to our every needs and more! I would certainly recommend going here and asking for him. The second time we came we literally ordered just the chocolate clams and were so satisfied. The vibe of the place is really cool too and that have a giant cactus and tree lights that make the atmosphere immaculate. There was also a beet salad that we really enjoyed! It is a bit expensive, but if you get the really good things, it’s worth it. So good we couldn’t even wait for the camera to eat first 😅

We had a great time at Quemadero. The attention to the details, from the architecture and art to the uniforms and menus is remarkable . Highlight was our server’s recommendation the Octopus. Rogelio was amazing and made our experience even better. The Margaritas was also a must. Happy to see trendy and quality places like this open in La Paz.

A top class restaurant in any country....This has to be the best restaurant in La Paz. Impeccable service from Paolo, perfectly grilled, amazingly tender and flavorful octopus, and a creative, super tasty desert made this a memorable meal. The atmosphere is total class... Sounds like they have some great parties on the weekends too.

Came to celebrate an anniversary here last night, it was a perfect evening although we missed the sunset, im sure it would have been a beautiful sight.
We did a quick reservation on open table, plenty of openings, they were quick to set us up and get us ready.
Upon arrival the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The host showed us a few of the seating options, indoor, terrace, outdoor patio etc, and we elected the terrace.
Gf ordered a cucumber margarita, she said it was one of the best she’s had, I had a beer (basic but refreshing) and ordered some appetizers.
There were a lot of options on the menu, but after reading another review we decided on the chocolate almeja and the aguachile and they literally left my gf speechless, she’s a big time foodie and she didn’t know how to describe how good these little almejas were!
For our main dishes we had the short rib and the lobster tail pasta, both were very flavorful and tasty, serving sizes are pretty good for this type of restaurant so we were happy with our choices.
Overall, the service by Paublo was excellent, he was very informative of the menu, gave us a tour of the restaurant and gave us some great tips to continue enjoying our time here in La Paz.
Thank you for a great evening, we will be back!

We came here for the experience also celebrating my birthday. Restaurant is beautiful however food is too pricey. We ordered just one meal to just sample the food which was 5 grilled shrimp and mashed plantain. The shrimp was charred and tasteless which cost $570. One bottle water $120. Way too overpriced. Total bill was $1000 for water, one alcoholic beverage and entree. We left and ate at another restaurant which was more satisfying.

Overall, I would certainly repeat. It’s the most beautiful restaurant in la Paz, and the main dishes were outstanding, although certainly very high priced for Mexico. But you will complain about prices when you deliver an excellent dish with great service. The area they need to work on is appetizers… They are priced outrageously high and they were very disappointing.
But they are refreshing the menu, and their management is very good, so I am sure they will improve that as well.
Definitely recommend it

We stopped in the middle of the day, it was recommended to us by a friend. we were greeted by Julio and the bar tender was Naomi. Awesome experience, we had appetizers and 2 awesome drinks. Tamarind Mescal was one but the one I loved was a foamy drink that was out of this world. The service was great and the manager Andres gave is a tour of the entire restaurant. Excellent experience we will return with some friends.

We dined at Quemadero for Valentine’s Day. It was our third time at the restaurant and our last. I love the design and the vibe in the courtyard. The food and drink were excellent the first two visits last year, but the food and service were really disappointing on the holiday night. Our tablecloth was so worn out, it had holes in it. We wondered if it was a design choice, but I checked the nearby tables and none had the rips. Our place settings didn’t have silverware, and the food runner did not notice the missing utensils and left. I had wave down our server talking in the corner to ask for forks. The salad tasted like the romaine came from a bag they bought at Chedraui or Costco. The next course, a crab cake, looked like hotel wedding banquet food. It tasted like it had been premade a day in advance or more and made with store-bought breadcrumbs. The only great courses with food quality in line with past experiences were the beef tenderloin and the chocolate ganache dessert. The dinner with a bottle of Baja wine cost us $130 USD per person. That’s one of the highest prices for a meal we’ve paid in our four years living here. A friend told me to give them a try again because they’d brought their prices down. We are willing to pay good money for a great dining experience and Quemadero sadly lost our trust. We won’t make the mistake again.

We come to La Paz, in part, because the restaurant scene is so good. Today, we were heading somewhere else and stumbled upon Quemadero. We normally stay away from restaurants on the malecon, so many of them are tourist traps, but Quemadero caught our eye and we are delighted that it did. Quemadero serves the best food we’ve had in La Paz.
The wood fired grill is highlighted in much of the menu. We had striped bass that had been seared on the grill and then baked on the hearth in ash from onions and corn. It was served with puréed cauliflower that had been roast on the grill and garnished with a kale dressing. Perfectly cooked, the fish was delightful. The grilled vegetables were exceptional, the mixed ceviche was a delight, and the beet salad couldn’t be beat.
Service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Roger took excellent care of us, patiently and knowledgeable answered our questions about the preparation of the dishes, and made excellent suggestions. His brother (Paolo?) has but together an excellent selection of Mexican wines complemented by an international portfolio. We’ll selected Mexican wines have been exceeding my expectations and I’ll be visiting Quemadero again to continue my education.
If you are in La Paz and enjoy fine dining, I’d recommend making Quemadero your first stop.
