The food is always good but the store could use a major cleaning! Looks like a lack of management. The 3 ppl on duty the day I visited this store was working extra hard to keep the pace afloat. Looks like they need to raise the starting pay and hire more employees! Such a sad situation to come and work as much as they do and be under paid! Food was fresh but the wait. I paid for my order at the drive thru and was asked to pull forward for 3 minutes and my order would be brought out to me. After 20 minutes I pulled into a parking spot and went inside to see if they forgot about me. They said they miscounted one of the chicken tender orders and that was the delay. After waiting another 10 minutes they gave me my order. I went out to the car and while I was looking through the order to make sure everything was there one of the cashiers ran out to me to let me know that something was left out of my order. About 40 minutes later I finally left with my order. The staff was nice, food was fresh but we gotta do better. They didn't even offer me a free apple pie or a coupon. Nothing for the inconvenience. Probably won't be visiting this Popeyes again! Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

So just went there and ordered 8 piece family meal with mac & cheese and a large fry, and two oreo cheesecakes. The poor crew there were only 3 people. I felt bad for them. Had to wait a little while for my food so the young lady gave me extra fries, biscuits and two pies. I thanked her and drove off. Should have checked but didn't. I did not get my mac & cheese or my cheesecakes. I was so sad about that.. lol But anyway the food we got was good and the service and good attitude the young lady had was worth giving them 5 stars. People need to be easier on our fast food workers when things like this happen. It's just not that serious. I may go back tomorrow to get the food I paid for or a refund for those items and may not, have not decided. I pulled up to the drive-thru for lunch and was the only vehicle there. I was told they would be with me shortly. After 5 minutes of silence and two cars behind me I asked politely if they were still there. I was rudely told she was multi tasking and could not take my order along with some mumbling. After a couple more minutes the car behind me gave up and left. Then I did. This is the second time I've left due to terrible service and wait times. I love Popeyes in shelby,Nc. This is the first I’ve eaten at this location and I never will again! Chicken tenders were cold and under cooked! The macaroni and cheese was burnt! You don't want to go there. The workers are in la la land. It took us an hour to get our order. There was a lady in there before we were in there, and she was still in there when we were leaving. This is a horrendous atmosphere, and horrendous employees. They need to do an overhaul on the whole entire restaurant including their employees the only thing that's good is the food. It was only my 2nd time going to the Popeyes since they came to Gastonia. I was hopefully when the drive-thru cashier had a wonderful disposition. Friendly, didn't get upset when I asked how fresh the chicken was. She advised me it would be 6mins and if I pulled ahead, someone would bring it out... I gladly pulled ahead, although I was the only car in line. , I watched 2 other cars come through, and then no cars. After 15mins, I drove back around only to discover they had forgotten ALL about me and my order. Very Disheartening, it could've just been a wonderful experience!! This location is an embarrassment to the organization. This is my second time having to complain. Don’t worry, I’ve learned my lesson and will never return again. Not only did I receive a tablespoon of Mac an cheese as a portion, But the gift card that I received from corporate for my last time complaining, I was told during this order that I could not use because they don’t work in the card was issued for this specific location.
