We just dropped in after 5pm on a Friday after driving from Bergen Airport. We were given a table for an hour as the place was booked for the night. The restaurant on ground floor had tables occupied but they emptied as we ate. We had Balholm apple and raspberry drinks and then one steak and one fish of the day (ling). Both were really good and with plenty of time to spare we ordered the Norwegian cheeses and coffee. The service was good and the menu was explained to us in English. Nice view of river while you eat. Book at weekend is going after 7pm. There is parking right opposite the entrance just roadworks to negotiate. We came to this restaurant for a beer. What a surprise! There is a rooftop terrace with a great view on the river and the mountains. The beers choice is pretty large - mostly local and some international ones. The staff has been extremely helpful and friendly, guiding us through what to taste and where the breweries were located. Highly recommended! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Really tasty meal and great location along the river. They were running low on the chanterelle sauce with our lamb and so it was replaced with a red wine sauce. It was great none the less. Should have ordered an appetizer tho. Service was a bit slow but I can only blame that on the nice weather and COVID-19.

The best food I've eaten in a while. I got some Chicken Breasts here and they were one of, if not THE best chicken breasts I've ever eaten. The waiters were very friendly, and the food was made fairly fast. The restaurant offers a great selection of meals, drinks, and desserts, including a children's menu. I highly recommend this place!! Love the view and the food was amazing. Preben, the person at the bar, was a top guy, gave us great travel advice and a nice souvenir at the end.

We waited 45 minutes for a salad, a pizza, 2 omelets and a veggie burger, even if the restaurant was almost empty. The pizza was over cooked and hard to eat, the burger very dry. The rest was correct. still, I do not recommend this place.
