The decor is well done but the food is overpriced and under seasoned. Poor selection of condiments, As the coconut shrimp was served poorly paired w cocktail sauce while we were not a fan, we stole a sweet chili sauce off the appetizer platter for a better compliment. The charge of $3.50 for a nonalcoholic beverage with no promised refill is the reason we will not return. One shouldn't have to ask for water while dining. Especially if paying for a beverage. We ordered the family of 5 Boil for $135 it did not have the specified fish rather an excessive amount of potatoes eggs and broccoli. We attended for my sons 18th Birthday with hopes of a great experience We were left disappointed. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

I was expecting mid crab for sure but not bad at all! The meat is pulpy and delicious however it is sort of frustrating trying to open said crab. There are so many sauce options I always stay on the garlic butter side and it never does me dirty. We got the lobster meal and the dungenous crab. Both meals are giant and well priced for seafood. There are potatoes and corn on the plates and the entire thing is literally drowned in the sauce. They even have little crab seam ripper type tools for the softer things. Everything was perfectly cooked- nothing tasted or looked questionable. The service is so easy and food came out within 20 minutes of ordering. The garlic bread appetizer and the shrimp cocktail were well done and presented. The store itself is very clean and the tables have a drape so the surface is fully covered. There is a bucket for waste at the table making cleanliness a load easier. Atmosphere was very quiet due to not a lot of people but the decor and the overall underwater aesthetic is amazing! I couldn’t get good pictures of the food because we ate it so quickly, definitely plan on getting messy as the sauce flings all over the place while you open the crabs or lobster. The good: Crab Fries and Beignets were TO DIE FOR. SO GOOD. The mediocre: The quality of seafood was alright, not bad but not the best ever. We got the House Cajun season sauce and it was just okay. The Lemon Pepper one that my sister and husband ordered was definitely better! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

To the owners of Pier 8 in Orem: Blake is an incredible bartender/waiter and you should never let him go. Today, I sat at the bar and was there for a little over 2 hours. I had ordered a large plate and it took some time to crack through all the shells. Blake didn't once make me feel pressured to leave or hurry up. Quite the opposite; he made me feel comfortable and welcome. He brought me multiple drinks and always checked in with me to make sure I was serviced. Above that, he was kind and friendly when approached for general human conversation. For once, I did not feel like I was a bother just for asking my server how they are doing in their life. He spoke openly with me as if I were an old friend. This is hard to find anymore. The food was INCREDIBLE and served so quickly that it surprised me. The flavors were amazing and the seafood honestly tasted fresh. For Utah, that is quite impressive. I frequent Texas and California where the seafood is served right off the boat so this came as a shock to me. Seafood is typically not anything to spit at in Utah, especially Provo (Salt Lake is a little better as an area). I was very pleased with my visit today. I didn't even get into how festive the restaurant atmosphere/deco was. It feels like a good ol'crab shack on the coast the SECOND you open the door. I will definitely be coming back to this location as it is my new seafood fave in Provo. Sooooo good. I felt like I was back in Florida eating at our favorite seafood restaurant. This is going to be a monthly date night dinner for sure. Great food, great service, great drinks. Super clean and great ambiance. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Captain's Feast
Tried this place when it was new and it was great but tonight I was super bummed with my experience. I got mussels and snow crab legs and they were both spongey and yucky. The crab shells were soft and super hard to crack so I ended up wasting a lot of it. I know nobody’s coming for the corn but it was a really weird texture too, like it was cooked this morning maybe? I tried to take photos of the odd textures but I’m not sure you can tell. Calamari was flavorless and the marinara it was served with was too chunky for dipping. I will say I love the mild Cajun seasonings but something’s wrong when you buy a pound and a half of crab legs and the potatoes are the best part.
What a cool restaurant. The place is super cool and the food is absolutely delicious! I went with two friends and we shared the food so I can talk about three different dishes. I got a Shrimp PO Boy and you can’t go wrong with those. The fries were fresh, crunchy and delicious. My friend had a shrimp Alfredo. The flavors were noticeably and different than usual but in a good way, like the cajun flavor are around. It has some big onions and -surprisingly- tomatoes, but tasted really good. They could add a few more shrimps tho, The last and best was the cajun combo. My other friend did this with shrimps and calamari, and it brings potatoes and a corn as sides. The cajun sauce is absolutely crazy!!! I was dipping my own French fries with it the whole time. The sides are a little too little for the dish, but you actually end up pretty full. 8.5/10 Go, go!! Open, bright, fun atmosphere with an incredible staff. I had high expectations coming here and they surpassed those expectations. Dayna was our server. He's so friendly. As far as food, I'd recommend the appetizer combo to share so you get a bit of everything and then order a half pound of whatever you'd like. I was so eager to eat the main course, I forgot to get a picture, but I had scallops and they were great. I highly recommend trying Pier 8! Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, except the calamari was overcooked, and my broccoli was undercooked. All in all, it was a good experience. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Captain's Feast
Fun experience for seafood dining. This is an experience and the seafood boil 🦞 was great. Customize your taste and even heat tolerance. Fun but pricey as we should expect for the freshness. Loved it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
