One of the highlights of our trip to Porto. It's a nice cozy family run restaurant. We arrived before they opened and got seated as soon as they opened. Later in the evening there was quite a lineup and people were being turned away. The seating is limited so arrive early to get a table. Their food was amazing. What a neat little spot! We went for the traditional dishes, and it was worth the wait. The lineup is something you just have to embrace, because once you are seated inside it's a wonderful experience. The service is efficient, without making you feel like they are just trying to turn tables as quickly as possible. Would definitely recommend you put it on your list of places to visit! from the moment we walked in the experience was wonderful! we ordered the braised pork with mashed potatoes and the francesina. Absolutely loved this restaurant. I think it’s a must visit when you’re in Porto. We waited in line for 45 minutes and it was worth it. The food is so special and the staff is so nice. I didn’t feel like they were trying to rush us. I really appreciated the recommendations from the staff, especially with wine and beer. I love that they have only five tables, and it’s a no-frills restaurant that has genuine food. Would visit again! Here is the best restaurant in porto for me. I can't forget food that I ate here. And the boss is really kind. All the food is excellent, Especially I can't forget the taste of port wine I ate here. A visit to this place must be planned in advance. It is very popular (for a reason) and there are just a few tables and no reservations with a live queue. To guarantee yourself a table, it is best to come early in advance (~20-30 min before opening). I tried a nice flaky appetizer with local sausage and spinach which was crunchy and very tasty. Next I chose francesinha, which was very savoury with great tasting meats and topped with a hot and slightly spicy tomato sauce. Great tastes and there were a lot of other nice items on the menu.
