For $50 USD for a plate of pasta you would expect to at least get a piece of protein included. Overall had a good valentines dinner experience here. Restaurant was decorated nicely. We were provided table bread (complimentary) and even got a second portion when we asked for more. Upon arriving they asked if we wanted water, we said yes but then on the bill it cost 200 pesos. The menu has good options but of course very overpriced. Pasta is not handmade or anything crazy so it’s hard to justify the prices, especially since most pastas do not come with protein. We asked how much to add some salmon or fish to our pasta and they said 900 pesos. We sent back the carbonara as it was way too salty and the pasta was mush from being overcooked. We both ate the rigatoni and it was a nice portion and had great flavor. Again wish there was some protein on the plate for the price tag paid. They manually add a 20% tip without asking so make sure to not tip extra unless you want to. The service was attentive but our server in particular was hard to hear him and he didn’t seem to know the menu well. Would’ve stayed for some sisha but again 1800 pesos for hookah is just crazy. Especially since this restaurant is NOT beachside. Also the music is very loud and not cohesive with the vibes. Would give 4 stars because it was overall a great dinner and delicious food and wine. But the restaurant lacks the elevated cuisine for the price they are charging. Also very annoying to see a QR code menu!! People come to a nice dinner to sit and read a proper menu in their hands. Amazing food, chill atmosphere and our server Max was very attentive. Someting I noticed in Mexico is that once you finish your starter, your main is served immediately. This is not something Europeans / Dutchies (?) are used to. We like to have 15 / 20 minutes between starter and main. Max made sure to ask us when we were ready for our maincourse and gave us a timeframe of how long it would take for our main to be prepared. Expectation management was done professionally and adequately. Definitely recommend this restaurants and the rest of the rosa negra group! Big time service person so when you treat each customer like it could be your last or best friend it’s an amazing thing. That is Parole Tulum. That is Tulum in general from my perspective. The opening chapter the Focaccia was insane how good it tasted with the tomatoes and oil reduction. Then we had wagyu meatballs and king crab raviolis. Let me explain the violinist came out of nowhere I thought I was hearing music in my head but it was this satin pants wearing gentleman with a violin. MAX IS THE BEST SERVER. The food was top notch, the portions were huge. They did the cutest birthday celebration for my friend. He explained the whole menu including things that weren’t his favorite which we loved. Top notch, go here!!! I had much higher expectations for this restaurant. While visiting Tulum I booked a reservation for my girlfriends anniversary. While booking online I indicated that it was for an anniversary. When we arrived to the restaurant staff asked if there was any special occasion to which I informed again it was my girlfriend anniversary. After receiving our appetizers and mains staff came by and asked if we wanted any dessert.. We advised we did not want any and a Bill was quickly brought to our table. What confused me is that they made no effort to celebrate my girlfriends anniversary? Why ask if there is a special occasion online AND in person if there is nothing done by the restaurant? I would expect maybe a small dessert with sparklers? Nothing.. For the price paid at the restaurant it is definitely not worth the experience. If you're like me and want a special night out to celebrate your loved one then avoid this place, you can spend alot less money and get a better experience at other restaurants in the area. We enjoyed our dinner, all the recommendations Max made were tasty. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Max brought out dessert with some sparkles and made our night more memorable. Amazing staff and food, violins set the atmosphere! Special shout out to the manger Ricardo who was more than helpful after my husband and I had an accident on the main strip in front of his restaurant. Our car died and then a taxi, with no patience slammed into us to only drive off leaving a dusty trail behind. Ricardo helped us move the car, and allowed us to use his phone for help to get in touch with the car rental company. He stood by our side, with a smile and one of the best energies you could imagine. After everything, how could we not eat at his restaurant? Thank you, Ricardo! We hope to cross paths again soon. We went for cocktails and desserts and both were amazing! I am chocoholic and the lava cake is one of the best I had in my life. If you love chocolate you must check out this place! Great service and ambiance Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $100–200
