Great coffee, outstanding barista, and yummy custard squares .
Nice little supermarket where you can find everything you need on a daily basis. The prices are slightly higher than in other supermarkets.
The Opua Store is well set out and always looks so clean and tidy. My main reason for going in there is the beautiful Allpress coffee they do there. Best coffee anywhere and the staff always make it perfectly

Never have I felt like reviewing a store due to the quality of their thickshakes but the absolute disgrace of a thickshake that was served for me and my partner today made me. First of all, the service was friendly and nice and the store itself was well stocked and set up. However, The thickshake that I had today hurt me deeply. They charged them out at $5.50 - 50c more than a milkshake, they also have an ice cream counter at the front, so imagine my disgust as he completely ignored the ice cream in favour of powdered thickener. Still, how bad could it be I thought. As we tasted the thickshakes we were pleasantly surprised but equally disappointed, they tasted fine (despite them only having a handful of flavours from the longest drink in town range) but not a hint of thickness was present. We got through our thinshakes when all of a sudden it hit, as if the mighty lord had decided to punish us, the powdered thickener had fallen to the bottom and transformed itself into lumpy, chewy thickener mucus. Not only did this suprise kick to the head taste disgusting it also made us feel unwell. Its not often you can confidently say that you've had the worst thickshake in your lifetime but today has been that day.
Great Coffee and Pies pre and post Cycling trip.
Looking for a place to eat after settling into our motel discovered the general store. Raced down with partner to grab a pizza onlybto be told "sorry we don't cook on a sunday" other days were mentioned but I switched off after I heard Sunday. Not to worry, thought I would grab a few scratchies from the lotto counter only to be pointed to a sign "sorry we are off line" load of bullocks, I could log into my lotto with no issues. Pretty much had a 'can't do' attitude and couldn't give a toss. Nearly asked for a coffee but didn't in fear I'd be told "sorry, coffee machine says no"
I visited this spot during my Northland trip and stopped here before taking the ferry to Russell. The staff was kind and had some great customer service skills. It was a good place to get general items and bakery products. I also got a Latte which was pretty decent and also Return Vehicle Ferry tickets. Would definitely recommend! Cheers
Good shop to get picnic food stuffs whether that be hot or cold or an essentials food shop. Has takeaway coffee. Non food items stocked as well. There is seating outside with nice views to the bay and ferry.

Greg and the Girls do an amazing job! It is a great place to sho locally and the smiles are always a great way to start the day when we go in for out coffees. The new layout of the store gives it a great historic style look. Beautiful wooden shelving and great bakery... Oh also the WORLD FAMOUS PIZZA is definitely worth getting.
Got told I couldn't get served by wearing my mask incorrectly ," just under my nose," then straight after me another guy no mask and he's fine to order 🤣the staffs a joke but the coffees good
