The restaurant had a lovely and charming atmosphere. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a plesant dining experience. With a few adjustments to the food preparation (prawns and chicken are dry), I would definitely consider returning in the future. Thu 30 Nov 2023 My wife and l had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Centric in KK and one of the highlights was the inclusive breakfasts at ON22 Restaurant. The restaurant has a beautiful design with a central spiral staircase to the ON23 Penhouse and a stunning view of the sea and the hills. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and varied. We enjoyed the local dishes like beef rendang, mutton, chicken satay, nasi lemak, roti canai, and mee goreng, as well as the continental options like eggs, bacon, and pastries. The Teh Tarik was also very good and they had a selection of juices (wake-up shots) and smoothies. The portions were generous and the quality was high. I would definitely recommend ON22 Restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in KK. It is one of the best restaurants in the city and it offers a taste of Sabah's rich culture and cuisine. ¹³⁴⁵ Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I visited Hyatt Centric ON22 in Kota Kinabalu in Dec for a birthday party. The location is in a good place and the hotel is new so it looks nice. Has a view of the waterside. Thank you for the service and booking. They were very helpful with organising the party for us. However I was disappointed and shocked when a staff member Haslizza gave our guest a copy of our bill for parking. She said parking needed to be validated and the bill was proof of that. This baffled me as I have been to restaurants where validated parking has been used and NEVER have I had a staff give the bill to a guest before. I did not want my guest to know how much I paid, it was embarrassing and inappropriate especially for a 5 star venue. I talked to manager in charge who was Dhivakar. He took a while to attend to us and support us. In the end he was able to give us 10% discount of our bill that night which was generous and supportive. Anyway it all got sorted in the end and the staff did apologise to us for giving the bill to our guest. I emailed them my feedback and have not received a response. This is not what I expect from a 5 star Hyatt hotel. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Friendly & knowledgable staff, relaxing atmosphere, modern design, great food - was a surprise when we returned to the hotel late and randomly dined here! Highly recommend the chilli lobster pasta - One of the best pasta I hv had in life - fresh (and big) lobster, refreshing Tomyam style-lobster-lime sauce, plus a layered-creamy texture topped with nuts. Al dente spaghetti. Absolutely amazing. Will be back again! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 200+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Curry Cauliflower
We had dinner on the 22nd floor. We had no problem getting table though we didn't make reservation. Nice view to the sea. We caught the sunset late though. The lobster was excellent. Dessert was nice. Wish the sambal has more oommpohh. Unfortunately, the mix between mango, sticky rice, santan & vanilla ice cream didn't work well. Got 15% discount if you use Maybank credit card and 10% if using debit card. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 60–80 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The sharing style dinner menu with local flavours is ingenious but the food lacks refinement in its preparation. Lamb shank was cold, tofu curry lacked curry, cauliflower was burnt. The team still need their head chef to monitor quality and execution of the original intent. Breakfast buffet for hotel guests is excelent with a broad range of options, all freshly prepared and tasty. The front of house team are lovely people. They are generally shy ones we noticed they tend to be less stressed and more amicable if you speak Malay with them. 🙃 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 60–80 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Great atmosphere and food, but sevice just disappeared after seving the main course and there suddenly was nobody waiting us. It was especially confusing since there was really great service in the beginning. This happened around 16:30 🤷🏻‍♂️ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

During our stay at Hyatt Centric KK, we managed to dine in twice at ON22 restaurant. The first was for dinner. We were server their bestseller such as Lamb Shank Rendang and Cheeky Masaman. The beef cheek were so tender, melt in your mouth! They also have a good selection of mocktails and children’s meals. The second was for the breakfast buffet. It’s not the largest spread for a hotel breakfast but the quality of the dishes were excellent. I really enjoyed the noodles and pastry. On top of that they have fresh juice, coffee and some morning “shots”. Service Dine in
The breakfast spread here isn’t that many which is a good thing - that means I can try almost everything! While the service is impeccable, the food falls slightly short. The rice of the Nasi lemak tasted bland to me. But the rest of the food was just all right. My favourite has to be the Nona manis which I’ve had more than 3 times!

Best sunset view kota Kinabalu on the 23rd floor of Hyatt centric. 23rd floor is the bar, while ON22 restaurant is on the 22nd floor. We had buffet at ON22 as they did not have ala carte options. It is about rm180 per person. Appetisers are served at the centre. While the mains and deserts are served by the staff when you are done with appetisers. They will serve a few sets of the mains and desserts, and you can order for more if you would like - it is all covered by the buffet costs. I personally would prefer ala carte instead of buffet, so that we get to specifically choose our desired dishes and it would be more cost effective for the customers. I am giving five stars because of the service the staff gave and the beautiful views in both the 22nd and 23rd floors. Be sure to come here at 5:30pm and catch the sunset at the 23rd floor. Parking wise, they charge rm20 for 3 hours within their hotel, so just try to find parking spots nearby instead of opting for their parking.
