I had a very delicious meal here. No complaints. The omelet and the everything bagel were really good. I found this place on my last day in Panamá. I wish I found it sooner. Thank you guys for hospitality
The bagels where not fully cooked (thus their size was smaller than usual), the egg portions has decreased significantly and they didn’t had their signsture cream cheeses avaiable for delivery (sun dried tomatoes)
I really miss the old days with the original owner and the small bagel shop

In the Via Argentina area you get the feeling that most of what you experience is a mere remnant shadow of a lost time. Even as a visitor you can perceive a distinct decadence in the air. New York Bagel is no exception; and I love it because of this. Food and drinks are ok (sometimes not) but that’s not the point. Sit on the balcony and read a book.
The place is large with plenty of comfortable places to work. I will give 3 generously if you want to just buy a bagel on its own or come here to work in ac. $8 for a bagel sandwich with one piece of turkey and one leaf of spinach? Shockingly overpriced for what you get. The watermelon juice also tasted like it had gone off, but there’s no date on it.. so maybe it had.
This place feels like it is a week away from disappearing. I went for some bagels and they were old and stale. Please avoid!

We are in love with this tasty cafe. The staff is very friendly and you have a big choice of different meals. The bagel selection is also huge. in the cafe there is wlan and you have free refill of coffee.. yea! You have the possibility to sit outside or inside. Next time we come back to panama city, we will definitely visit you again.
I have been visiting this place for many years. I remember how full it would get and how delicious the food was. They had multiple options for coffees, bagels, and teas. A lot of cool people would hang out there and it was a place to meet and share with expats and locals from around the world.
The place was eventually sold off, and has taken a sharp turn. When you go in it is a ghost town, everything looks old and dirty, and the food isn't that good anymore. There are only 3 flavors of coffee, 5 cold bagel flavors to choose from and the prices are very high.
I have so many good memories here but unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

It was relatively quiet when I was there so the service was quick. Bagel was great, especially for a city where they are hard to find. Normal Panama City prices, this meal came to $10, unlimited coffee and free wifi. I agree with the last review, the tables make it feel like a school cafeteria, they could do something to improve the aesthetics.
I came back after 2 years and nothing is left and everything is the same... same local, same bagel “chef” BUT not that great ambiance it used to have, now they have only 4 kinds of coffees ( before there where at least 10 different kinds of coffees) now you can add regular, skimmed or semi skimmed milk to your black coffee ( before you could add the same 3 milks plus evaporated milk, half and half, lactose free milk, almond milk)
For sure if you didn’t have the chance to visit the former New York Bagels, you might like this one; but as I knew the original version of it, I don’t like this that much.
Btw the extraction here is awful, you end up smelling weird!
