We did the cooking class. It was incredible. The food is the best we’ve tasted in Cambodia after 3 weeks of being here. Learned a lot and enjoyed it! Definitely come here for food and the cooking class. They offered gluten free options too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Absolutely loved our cooking class with toot! Only 4 of us for the evening class so very one on one! Super cheap price for a great variety of food! I was very impressed with toots English and he also spoke French for our friends in the class! This meant that there was nothing lost in communication and we learnt so much! Would recommend to a friend for sure! 10/10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had a delightful dinner at this restaurant last evening. The fried noodles with vegetables I ordered were delicious, and it's great that they cater to vegetarians. The location, just 8 minutes from town, is convenient. What stood out most was the incredibly friendly owner and staff. Their kindness extended to offering complimentary bananas after the meal, which was a nice touch. The best cooking experience I had. Plus the food was amazing. The kitchen is super clean and Nary, her husband, Toot, and their son are amazing hosts. We had a really fun afternoon learning/cooking some local dishes. Toot was a great teacher very fun and engaging. Thought he explained everything clearly and demonstrated all steps well for us to follow. The 3hours flew by as we were having a good time and Toot was also very entertaining a good guy! Listen if you have some free time I would highly recommend giving this a go, even if your complete beginner you would be fine! The kitchen area was very clean and everyone working there were very friendly and helpful. We sat down with our group after and got to eat our food… really really tasty! Recommend the cooking class with chef Toot! He's a delightful and entertaining teacher. Includes trip to market for ingredients and they can do vegetarian and vegan - lots of very tasty food to eat at the end. Great value for money!! You can do it for lunch or dinner. I also ate here 2 other nights for dinner and the Lok Lak with tofu was my favourite meal yet in Cambodia - it was a taste sensation! I also loved the vege amok we made in class. An amazing cooking experience through 4 Cambodian traditional dishes, spring roll, Amok, Lok Lak and a dessert (banana and coconut milk pudin). Nary and Toot guide us all the way from going to the local market to source the ingredients to step by step preparing and cooking it before seating down to enjoy it. Super friendly, clean and relaxing environment. I highly recommend it. 5 out 5 stars definitely! Our first cooking class ever. It was so much fun. Time flew by so quickly. We first headed out to a market to buy some ingredients. Them we came back and started cooking. Too was an incredible teacher with good english skill. We made 4 different dishes and learned so much about the ingredients we were working with. And at the end we got to eat it all! Food was so freaking good Cambodian dishes. The class onky cost $12,5 and lasted 3,3 hours. We also got cookbooks sended to our email. This is a must do during your stay in Battambang! I can recommend Nary’s cooking class 100%! We first went to the market to buy the ingredients for the cooking session. A lot was explained to me and I was able to ask lots of questions. Then we got down to cooking. Toot explained the dishes to me in detail and taught me how the locals prepare them. It was great fun and he was very friendly! Afterwards, we tasted all the food we had prepared and it was delicious. We received the recipes by email after the course. All in all, a very caring cooking school where they take time for the students. Although two other participants had canceled at short notice, Toot didn't cancel the lesson but gave me a private course instead. This emphasizes his caring nature even more. On the basis of my short visit Battembang is not a major tourist destination and the walk from our hotel to the Nary Kitchen didn't have many distractions. We picked here for dinner due to good reviews on TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed. The place itself looks better than average for Battembang but it doesn't have much to compare to. Service was just fine but the food was excellent. I had the basil curry chicken and it was super. The guys with me had green and red curry. We were all happy.
