Worst breakfast experience. Took 16 people for breakfast here. The waiter was getting the order wrong and then asked for assistance. I thought it was a manager later found out it was the owner. Order was received all wrong, had to pull a menu and show the owner what comes on the combos (Please learn your own menu). They still got it wrong 4 times. The guys couldn't fry eggs properly. Then, I found out the chef starts at 11am. Then why start breakfast at 9am?? Lots of staff onsite but they are all waiters who need training. Full in uniform eating breakfast but not from my diners, that should have been a sign there own staff don't eat their own breakfast. Food was terrible 2.5 hours later not even sure if everyone got their food or full items on the combo. No staff checks the food leaving the kitchen even though I pleaded with the owner 3 times to have a check on what's coming out of his kitchen. Very expensive for bad food, service, and logic. I frequent the jhb branch and get good food but this felt like a cheap knock off using the my diners name. Minus 5 stars would be generous. We ordered mutton curry , butter chicken , butter paneer , mutton breyani , dhall , garlic naan and aloo paratha . R1900 later all we did get was seriously sick . I contacted the manager told him that the food is uncooked , salty and tasteless . Something was definitely wrong Hassan response was no one else complained . I sent the food back and asked him to eat it , off course he didn’t . He asked me to upload the photos and let Uber know . Please don’t take any chances especially if it’s a large meal and you have younger family members , this restaurant will not pay your medical bills . We were in Umhlanga for a business function and only finished at 21h00. When we wanted to go have a quick bite, everybody was already closed except My Diners. We were not disappointed at all. They had the most tastiest cheese burgers. The beef patty has a bit of curry in which was so tasty. The people next to us had curry, and it smelled and looked so delicious. We've visited on holiday and it was quite a good experience. The restaurant is very spacious, lovely seating and I really love the decor - it's very cosy. We ordered the Mixed Grill/Special and it was delicious - a little bit of everything and if you're intimated by the dishes, it's well worth a first time try. We also tried a mocktail which I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't appreciate the fact that the staff gave lots of uncomfortable and noticeable stares - which forced us to change seats around. Excellent authentic Indian curry. All of the flavours you seek, are there. Food is cooked fresh and portions are large. You need not order any rice as the portions will more than satisfy your needs and hunger. It is a large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. If you need the restrooms, it is inside the mall. They dont serve alcohol here as it is strictly Halaal, so opt for soft drinks and immerse yourself in outstanding curries. Absolutely great menu including lots of vegetarian curries and also an array of Bunny Chows too, naan breads and rotis. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Really appalled by the food we were served at My Diner Gateway. The presentation looks ok. But the taste of the bunny was bland. No pungent taste. And to top it off with 3 bones in a bunny? Doesn't do it for me. Also elachi. Bread was soft. Breyani was tasting stale. No taste in the Breyani. What's the use of having big mutton but the Breyani doesn't taste good. The mojito mocktail was tasteless. No sugar in the fizzy drink. Establishments really need to get their act together in providing good quality food to its customers. We paying alot of money to eat. By faaar my favourite spot! amidst the many sheeeeken tikkah spots! Usually the mixed grill combo is my staple 🙌...ate here many times, the curries are a yaay, the briyani is okay imo, not the south african kind....still yum tho! Yeah, tikkaa for the win bro.
