Overall not a good experience unfortunately, and we were quite disappointed as the reviews were really good.
Food: food was average at best, and not as stated in the menu. We ordered a bagel and a sourdough with turkey, however the bagel was just a burger bun and the sourdough was actually focaccia.. also not sure the cream cheese was cream cheese but more of a mayo.
Service: they forgot to give us menus and they forgot about our coffee (the same happened for the table next to us). In addition, we waited 40 min+ for our food with a half-full restaurant, and it was very difficult to get in touch with the staff.
Not really a big issue, but also just not good service.
The place itself is cool and has a nice vibe.

Super cool vibes at Mr Happy. Was quiet and we were the only ones there but the food was super good and good portions as well - highly recommend! Cool music and vibes inside and staff are lovely :)

Amazing place in Isla Holbox, we came for brunch and was easy to get a table without no reservation. Relaxed tunes, amazing staff and amazing food, would 100% recommend to come here to anyone visiting. The best coffee we've had in all of Mexico here as well!

INCREDIBLE food. What a fun menu. I had their island baked Sour Dough bread with baked beans, vegan chorizo, Pico, green peppers, pickled onions. The flavours were INSANE. Every bite a different delicious proper food adventure.
Lovely server recommended their iced latte, holllyyy I am glad she did. First time having espresso on the island, it was unreal. Def going back for more.
Ambience fantastic, cozy retro decor. Love the free wifi, QR menus in English and Spanish + custom spotify playlist for your experience! Prime location right in town, just up from the beach. 5 stars all around.

What a disappointment. Based on the reviews it was supposed to be a good morning for me. Unfortunately, bad service can easily make good place a bad one.
I waited for 15 minutes for the waiter to take an order. There were only 4 tables occupied by that time and he was ignoring me as I have offended him in any way.
I ordered a cup of cappuccino and a combo breakfast. Making a cup of coffee took another 15 minutes. At least I can have my coffee even though it was spoiled by the waiting time.
I must admit that the coffe was good and the pancakes delicious.
This place could do so much better if they have better waiters

Amazing service and food! Beautiful place inside and the server could not have been more helpful (wish I knew his name!) he checked on us and moved us tables when we were too hot. The juices are incredible and the waffles!!! Definitely recommend here!

Cold Brew Waffles
This place came highly recommended by a local and did not disappoint. We went for breakfast two mornings in a row. Our 2 servers were just the sweetest guys. Coffee is great. Food is outstanding. Eggs cooked to perfection. Chilaquiles Verde, Mollete, and French Toast were all oh, so good! Dirty Horchata is a must! Love the vibe here, laid back and friendly. Come alone or with a couple friends. Dog-friendly. Vegetarian options!!!!!

Really nice place for breakfast. The coffee is a real treat. Service is and super friendly. The food was delicious. We had the turkey ham bread and the crispy chicken waffle. Also the fruit plate was very good.

We were very taken with Mr. Happy, a cozy spot two blocks off the beach. It has a very chill vibe, which is perfect for desayuno on the Isla. The latte & cappuccino were great, as were the juices. We had hot cakes and avocado & egg toast which were superb. Finally, the service could not have been better. To top it off, you can download the 116 hour Mr. Happy Holbox playlist on Spotify. We could not recommend this place more highly.
