Lovely view ,the food was ok but could be better, same for the service. We felt a bit like they don't try too hard as they have a captive audience. The restaurant needs a redesign with more outdoor space, please fix the air-conditioning and fridge (beers were not very cold)🙏 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person R 500+ Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

The staff are generally not that welcoming. The lady who appears to be a manager or supervisor is rude and extremely unfriendly. The tables are always dirty and are also not in very good condition. There is no aircon so it gets really uncomfortable inside during summer. There is a really nice outside deck overlooking the water. The food is good, especially the burgers. If the staff were better and the place was clean I would give it a much better rating. I'm sure a new manager would make a huge difference. Service Dine in Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

The Tindlovu restaurant at the Mopani Rest Camp has one of the best views in the park, overlooking the Pioneer dam. There is inside and outside seating (outside is covered by a roof). Although you have a good view from most tables, I recommend you try to get there before the lunch / dinner rush to get a table outside so as to take full advantage of the view. Their menu is very basic, but everything we tasted was pretty good and reasonably priced. Although our waitress was friendly, service was very slow and they weren't very attentive. Just for the view alone I would make a plan to visit again, even if just to grab something to drink.

Restaursnt with most beautiful view in SA. Food was ok, service was the worst I have seen in years. Waitress on day 1 did not bring my complete breakfast order and mentioned she would bring the rest shortly, I had to physically collect the rest of my order from the bar. On Day 2, waiter was very hesitant to bring ice for our sparkling water and seemed super confused about the ice request, ice eventually arrived after he served food to 3 other tables. Upon requesting the bill, the bill never arrived and eventually ended up paying at the counter as we waited way too long. Waiter at this restaurant seem to be uninformed and disinterested in providing any kind of service whatsoever. Meal type Lunch Price per person R 500+

Had Sunday lunch a week ago. The restaurant was not very busy, there were a lot of staff but the drinks took 20 mins to be served, simple order,when the main dish came it was the incorrect items,so my husband ate his food and my dish arrived once he had finished. The waitress didn't realize she had given us someone else's order so that table was also inconvenienced. Would recommend using the Cattle Baron at the other camps

Excellent restaurant. The view over the lake is breathtaking. The food was above our expectations, especially considering you are in a national park. Super fresh, tasty, multiple veggie options, and really great value for money. The staff is adorable and very attentive. Can highly recommend to make a stop here!

Their coffee is stated as being Lavaza and I can tell you it isn't. They don't use a thermometer to judge the temperature of the milk. We ended up with cheap expensive coffee that had to sit for 10 minutes to cool sufficiently. Very nice views though and Precious pictured here is a gem.

The food was divine and the views of the river before and after this rest camp are mesmerising. The ornamental elephant in the garden seemed so real from a distance, it's amazing!!!

This is now a Mpila restaurant. We had breakfast on 18/10 on the deck. Our order was written down. When the food arrived, it was cold, the eggs hard, the cheesegriller raw. Cutlery came as an afterthought. Did not see the waiter after the food was brought to our table. I approached the manager and he arranged that our order be redone. A very bad experience.
