Mediocre. Not impressed. The food is a bit above average. Some sushi rolls are even worse than those you can buy at WinCo or Sam's club. Noisy. 5 people at a table for 4? Seriously? Quite honestly I don't really understand all that hype around Mikuni. $100 + a generous tip but left the premises with a hunger. Zero desire to ever come back. Isn't worth money. Mikuni is the best sushi restaurant in the Sacramento area. The food here is of high quality, super fresh and sooooo tasty! We moved to Texas and absolutely miss this place. Every time we visit our family, we ALWAYS make sure to come to this Roseville Fountains location (our absolute favorite). The bartenders make great drinks here too! Be sure to try out the albacore pepperfin, Japanese mafia roll, incredible roll, train wreck roll, and the miso soup. If you decide to get the Gyoza potstickers, ask for the crispy option. Enjoy! You can never go wrong at Mikuni's, regardless of the location. The fish is very fresh and the rolls and special plates are simply amazing.
