One of the last "old-school" bars/venues supporting live music (and comedy, karaoke, community organizations, and more). Live music most nights, usually local bands, sometimes an up-and-coming touring act passing through. You can feel the history (the many old show posters and newspaper clippings on the wall help). Cheap drinks and good bartenders. As of September 2023 they still have Anchor Steam, which has been discontinued--get it while it lasts!

Awesome live music venue where we've played a few times. The sound people are generally nice and the bartender is great. They have a k-cup machine behind the bar so technically theyre actually a cafe. They even have cute ceramic mugs if you get a coffee how rad is that. I recommend going to one of their matinee shows especially if its winter since it's dark anyway so you don't feel lame for being a concert at 4:45pm.

My favorite bar in the world. Love the staff and the people that visit here. Best place to see live music, perform karaoke or open mic. Midway has my heart. Fair prices for drinks and lots of love

We’re from out of town and were looking for queer friendly nightlife. We found this bar hosted a Queeraoke night, every Thursday. We went and had a great time. Nice patrons! Great vibe! Nice staff! Lots of joyful Queer People. There was a cover charge of 8 dollars. We’re not used to a cover charge to enter a bar for karaoke but that wasn’t a big deal. Sam Adams was a bit expensive. Cash only bar. Would return.

Cool Dive bar - Queeraoke on Thursdays are a blast! The bartenders are always friendly and welcoming! I always have a phenomenal time when I visit! 10 out of 10!!!

Love the Midway! It's a classic dive bar with all the great points that a dive bar has. Great bar staff, cheap booze, eclectic crowd, just great. And this weekend they turned 35 years old! #35andstillalive

Great sound and atmosphere! Enjoyed playing the Eyes Pressed In (my band) Rags to Stitches, Barry Larry and Sauce on the Side Show! Must go again!
