I will say that the staff are all kind and helpful here. The bathrooms here are almost always clean and ready to use. The store is generally clean and in good order, and is usually without any horrible checkout line wait times. You have come a very long way from how you used to be back in the late 90's and early 2000's!!! This store was known as one of the worst in town back then. I am so pleased to see how much better your store is doing now!!!! Keep up the great work Meijer!!!!!! Well done! 😊♥️❣️♥️❣️♥️😉

The points system is amazing, especially when you take advantage of the app and getting bonus points. I love the online coupons too. But maybe most of all the scan and shop (they check 5 random items at the end of your order to verify it's scanned to prevent theft, which is cool) and the product location in the store is available on the app if you're ever stuck on where to find something. Also, if you do scan and shop you can see what coupons are offered for products you're buying if you don't want to digitally clip before.

I don't typically shop at this particular Meijer but it is next to my job so I stop there on occasion on my way home if I'm out early enough. It is of poorer quality and standards than other Meijers but what irked me the wrong way was while I placed my order at the deli counter recently. "Angie" I believe her name was, felt it necessary to give me her opinion on the meat that I selected. She first scoffed and told me, "they're all natural, they're MEAT." I then pointed to the one I was referring to and she immediately said that it was "flavorless." I told her that we like it and the reasons why we choose that selection (not that I should have even had to explain to the deli clerk WHY I choose what I do) but then she continued to make remarks about it throughout our entire interaction, it was incredibly strange. As she was cutting the meat, she talked to the other deli employee about it, although he didn't seem to want join in on her antics, so then she moved onto talking about how flavorless and gross it was with another customer standing next to me waiting for her order. "I guess it doesn't have any caramel coloring or other additives, ....no wonder it tastes so bad *heheh*" The other woman laughed with her as they made fun of my selection together. I should've said something then but I was taken aback and pretty uncomfortable about the whole thing, and not really in the mood to educate a deli employee. The other woman left and "Angie" called out to her to have a great day, then she came up and tossed my "flavorless" meat over the counter and barked "YOU GOOD?!" before walking away .... Why didn't I get a 'have the nice day,' considering I was the one she was actually "helping?" This woman was seriously mad about me choosing a healthier meat option, lol. After checking out, I walked up to the customer service desk to ask if they had a manager I could make aware of what had just happened. Two employees and the manager stood there chatting for a few minutes and nobody asked if I needed anything, they just tried to walk away from the desk before I stepped in front of them and asked if one of them was a manager. I told him about what had just happened and he just stared at his little Meijer phone thingy the entire minute that it took to explain what had happened and then said, "Yeah, I get it," and said he'd "make the deli team aware" before walking away still looking at his phone. Never an apology or even eye contact. All of it was very weird. I'll avoid this Meijer from now only solely based on this interaction.
I go to this location every morning to buy two lbs of bacon as I work close by. Every morning a large woman is working a register and bad mouthing other employees and/or the company she works for. It's an absolute joke as a customer to have to listen to this daily. I could only imagine how she brings down the whole atmosphere to the other employees . It makes me not want to support this location any more than I have to and I don't.

This is ridiculous. I show up at Meijer (today on June 5th) to return a box of expired sausages they had on the shelf that I JUST bought (should have looked) only to discover the entire row of Jimmy Dean sausages were expired just sitting on the shelf. I showed up at 8:10pm to return them and apparently the customer device desk is only open until 8, so the two workers just standing nearby at a register informed me after waiting for a few seconds, I frustratingly had to go back to put that box in my car, came back to buy one that wasn’t expired and found nothing but expired packs, about 20-30 or so of them. Not to mention only one checkout lane was open & one side of the self checkouts, so I had to stand in a long line just for some bottle slips. Meijer needs to step up their game & practices significantly on pulling expired food. I just wasted time & gas and left with nothing.

The management at this store requires immediate attention and possibly a change in leadership. Compared to the Cedar Springs Meijer, this place falls short in cleanliness and customer service. The produce section is notably unappealing, lacking the freshness and organization expected. Additionally, the staff's attitude is a concern; their interactions with customers come off as discourteous and unprofessional. This situation reflects poorly on the store's overall image and customer satisfaction, emphasizing the need for urgent improvements in both staff training and store maintenance to meet the standards seen in better-managed locations like the Cedar Springs Meijer.

My husband and I decided to pop in and check out Meijer. We were just visiting from out of state and never been in one. Totally thought it was a massive grocery store. This place has everything! We were amazed. Store was very clean, and as someone who is a bit more introverted loved all the self check out registers. Think we spent about and hour just going up and down the aisles. Wish we had one in Colorado! Again, the store was way cleaner and cleaned/organized shelves - more so than any Walmart or Target Ive ever been in.

February 5th, 2 registers were open at 3 PM , customers backed up to the clothing dept. No sense of urgency on Meijers part to open another lane. Finally two people came from customer service and opened a lane but way to late. Sign on the wall at customer service says customers don't need us, we need the customers , wonder what that is all about. This checkout lane thing a Meijer is an on going problem.. Its hard to operate a business to a profit, nothing happens til you get the money
Been shopping with meijers weekly for over the past 2 decades, and since the government created pandemic, the store hours have changed so now you've got to deal with employees stocking shelves and pallets in the isles (if their even restocking the items that are all out, but that's another issue) and you can also see it within the employees they hate the new standards and operating procedures and if you know any of them personally they'll even say it! And my 2nd complaint is self check out reliance, the store is becoming about greed just like Walmart (which I refuse to go to) they have almost no cashiers anymore, and rely on self checkouts which are constantly faulty and then the workers treat you like a theif if their unsure the slightest bit, or the lovely (sarcastic) red head girl who thinks communicating with employees is her #1 priority and if you call her out on it then she freaks out and has the nerve to run her loud mouth even more! I see they don't fire people they move them around, so she's now working self checkouts which require you to stand and stare at customers..........not to mention they employ "greeters" which is a massive waste of funds in my opinion, you could use them fund to hire cashiers to actually assist customers instead of staring at them and saying hi and bye! Hopefully someone in corporate reads these reviews and makes some serious changes and stop following walmarts terrible business practices, and follow Fred Meijers inital goals and business practices, before meijers looses your long term customers for good.
