Legit the cleanest , most structured McDonald’s I’ve ever seen in my 36years . I was stunned of how well and on top of things literally every employee I seen was . It was like a well oiled machine at this location . They smiled , they were helpful and fast was an understatement. The food was super fresh and hot and of course accurate . If 10 stars was an option these guys would deserve it . Good luck finding an issue here because whomever the management is , keep doing what your doing . U and your team were a breath of fresh air. I visit 1 - 2 new McDonald's a week and this location is the first one that doesn't have any place to fill your drinks, get napkins and no condiments are available without asking an employee for them. Updated review. Today 10/9/23 My kids and I stopped in for lunch. To say we all were extremely disappointed would be an understatement. We ordered at the kiosk and when they called my order I tasted a single fry and it was cold. Stale and cold. I asked for fresh fries and pointed out these were cold. The workers appeared annoyed with my request and finally said it would be 4 min for new ones. I said I was fine with waiting. I took the other food back to my table and when I opened my quarter pounder, it was obvious by the zero melt on the cheese that the burger was also cold. I touched it to confirm, and yes it was room temperature at best. I brought it back to the counter to ask for a new one and the worker stuck his finger in the burger to confirm it wasn’t warm and said “it’s not that cold”. I let him know regardless I would not eat the burger he had just fingered. 4 minutes later they gave me my new food and not only were the fries still not hot, they were undercooked. My 2nd quarter pounder was just as Luke warm as the first and 2 bites in, I realized it was still pink inside. Disgusted and frustrated I threw the food out and we went next door to Taco Bell instead. Lunch was awful, but they did better on the opening day for breakfast. I won’t be back for lunch. The play area was a mess and the 45 min we were their not a single worker came in the clean. Just visited the brand new McDonald’s this morning. The interior is small but very nice. They have a large play area that I saw kids enjoying. We ordered our breakfast at the kiosk and it was user friendly. Our breakfast was cooked perfectly and we are happy McDonald’s is back open. This is a recently remodeled McDonald's. They tore it to the ground and rebuilt it. It has an indoor play place and is a little short on indoor seating, but I think that it was by design for bigger parking lot and easier drive through access. It's near shopping and the mall in Champaign. Quick service and hot food. It's a McDonald's it's what you expect from them at this point. Nothing spectacular, but I enjoyed my meal. They followed all my instructions with tea light ice and half unsweetened and half sweet tea. We ordered at a kiosk and it showed that there was some sort of error, but it took my money. I didn't get a receipt, so i wasn't sure what was going to happen since there was nobody there to ask -- I just took the number and sat down to see what would happen. In about 2 minutes someone brought our food and the order was right, so I guess it all worked out. The person who brought it was friendly, so no issue there. The food was normal McDonalds quality stuff. They had what appeared to be a fairly large play place -- my son really wanted to go in, but we didn't have time. So brand new building and they proved they really don't want you in the restaurant. There is no one at the registers. So if you don't want to order in the app or at a kiosk I guess go walk through the drive through, you might get someone there. The kitchen is bigger than the rest of the restaurant, plenty of seating back there, but there are only about a dozen seats in the actual lobby. Make sure when you order you add on there if you want ketchup or napkins or anything of that sort because there is nothing in the dining room (of course there's no room for any of that). Speaking of no room, there's not even a soda fountain in the dining room, and since no one can be bothered to go to the registers there apparently aren't any refills, and now that they charge you almost $2 that's an extreme rip off! We eat McDs almost exclusively when we road trip bc my son really likes it. We have seen some really bad ones... This one was a very pleasant experience! Clean, fast and the play area was well-maintained. I realize it's quite new, but I hope they can keep it up! All of the staff we spoke to were kind and helpful. Also noticed there was quite a bit of diversity in the staff, which I think is great! Overall great experience! Took the kids to the newly rebuilt McDonald’s and they loved the play place. Only issue was they shorted me a 10 piece nuggets but went up to the desk and quickly got them. Best McDonald’s in town. Great atmosphere, food, and customer service. These people make you feel like a king..as it should be. Come check it out.
