Had a great time tasting rum cakes along with the rum. Joel was very helpful and friendly employee. We bought lots of cakes for family and friends. The rum, well maybe we will share. Love the wall of fire. Tasty sauces that left a tinge on our tongues. We will go back next time to Mexico. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My sister and I primarily shopped at this store because it was highly recommended by Carnival. We were told to get the “blue top vanilla.” Both of us have several friends and family we wanted to buy for. The salesman, Philip, who was very nice, told us that both vanillas are double strength and to use half what the recipe calls for. I was so excited to give my friends the clear vanilla since they love to bake. When we returned home, I tried the clear and dark vanillas and they tasted like water. I was very disappointed to have apparently been ripped off. Please do not buy vanilla from this store. It will be a waste of your hard earned money.
I bought $40 worth of their “vanilla” because this is the store that carnival recommended for real vanilla. They said “get the famous vanilla with the blue cap”. I didn’t open it to smell it till I got home a week later, and it is just very lightly flavored vanilla water. I was literally able to drink it it was so weak. I even brought some home for a friend and now I have to tell them that I got scammed. Avoid this store like the plague. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
This shop was nice, the service was good and the rum cakes were delicious, but buyer beware on the vanilla. They give you samples to smell that are real vanilla but the big bottle I bought is just water. I wanted authentic Mexican vanilla and I am very disappointed. It makes me sad that I wanted to support Mexican economy and bring home a little bit of their culture and all they do is scam people. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Do not purchase!!! I visited there several months ago and I purchased the light blue top vanilla. (The clerk said it was the same thing as the dark vanilla.) I tasted the sample before leaving but when I arrived home and tasted it, it was not the same thing. It smelled like watered down suntan lotion. Can we say…Bait and switch?

I have visited this shop each time I have had the luxury of coming to port in Cozumel. TOP notch customer service, great variety and always WELL stocked. My primary purchases have focused on Mexican Vanilla and Fire sauces as gifts. NOW they have expanded their variety to include COFFEE & Honey products. So Cakes-YES; Coffee-YES; Vanilla-YES; Honey-YES; Assorted fire sauces-YES; Great Service-YES YES YES!! The owner, Leslie, always goes above and beyond, ensuring a returning and loyal customer following! What are you waiting for? I will be back soon and plan to spend time at the coffee shop downtown as well....mmmmmMilkshakes!

Bought at the store by the cruise port and the very nice young girl in the store said the credit card machine was in peso's, not dollars, we thought it might be wise to pay in cash and not risk any confusion with the credit card company and the currency exchange. (review updated from my previous, unjustly harsher review)

By far, the best quality rum cakes on any of the islands. You can really taste the difference, and the texture is so smooth! Great range of flavors, beautiful packaging, and almost impossible not to eat the whole thing once you start! I like the staff, too. Very helpful, not pushy like in a lot places. Five stars all around!

The banana daiquiri lacked flavor. Also I was disappointed to be overcharged by $5 for a cake when I was told they were factory prices, cheapest on the island. Just FYI it’s actually way cheaper in the airport than in this store. I understand you have to raise prices due to current circumstances, but at least be honest.
