Nice and clean place for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just simply to hang out with your family or friends. Food is yummy and the price is quite reasonable. Recently they added a new menu : roasted/steamed chicken rice set with 1 free syrup at only RM7. All else is good and satisfactory except for the rice which is quite hard. I'd prefer it to be soft like the rice at SCR for instance. This restaurant is renamed 'Mat Laksa' but the owner is still the same person and the menu is the same as before. Update (27.1.23) I have no more complaint about the above mentioned rice. It's now softer thus easy to chew and swallow. The ayam penyet presently has an extra sambal(altogether 2 types) which is an improvement and is reasonable for the price given. I like their mee goreng mamak but it's been twice that I was told it was not available even though I came in the morning. Patronised this café to try out laksa only. Placed an order on special laksa priced at 12 ringgit. (You could order normal one at 8 ringgit). Anyway, didn't hold any high expectations, but much to my surprise, the laksa wasn't that bad at all. In fact, it was delightfully delicious, with a slight hint of spiciness that gave a kick. My only complaint was the prawns weren't fresh and al dente at all. Regardless, don't let my complaint deter you from trying the laksa. If you're a laksa aficionado, you should try it.
Good place for a quick meal of renowned Laksa Sarawak. Loves the gravy and the special Telur Padi too. Ordered laksa special with telur padi add on and extra mee. Laksa special comes with fried egg and extra chicken. Loves it to the last drop! I think moms laksa is a franchise across Sarawak. Visit if u sees them. 11th June 2022 ✦ Service: Quick & Efficient Service ✦ Food: 8/10 (Laksa Sarawak Special/RM 12) ✦ Drink: 10/10 (Nothing can go wrong with Teh Tarik Panas ✋😆) ✦ Presentation: Picturesque ✦ Open Time: 8 AM? (My arrival time is approximately, 830 AM on 11th June 2022) How to Order? 1. Select your table and sit. 2. Press button on table to call staff for menu. 3. Refer to the Menu book and write your order on the order form. 4. Call the waiter again by pressing the call button after confirming your order (in my case the waiter are busy serving, so I go the counter and pass the order) 5. For me it took 5-8 minute with moderate amount of client and we order 2 Laksa Sarawak Special and 2 teh tarik panas, so the time saved for serving also depends on the variety of orders and amount of customers. 6. Served and ready to eat. Why 4 star? ✦ Maybe my expectation for Mom's Laksa sibu is high for the taste of the food. ✦ The broth is less thick.

Been here for lunch, however i did not try the laksa but go for its nasi ayam penyet. Very nice taste and recommended to all. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The Laksa SPECIAL broth is thick and medium spicy the taste is just nice @RM12 per bowl. However the nasi ayam penyet is not so good, the rice is too hard not cooked properly and the sambal is not that great, too spicy, caution not for kids. For lepak2 yes its great place for kopi-o and roti kahwin.
The best Sibu laksa can be found here. If you like laksa with seafood, this is the place to go too. Personally, I like Kuching laksa more... There is a variety of dishes served here. It's a place for the whole family to dine. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Laksa Special
