Rude towards foreigners. Walked into the bakery. Said good morning and the lady at the counter looked directly at me and completely ignored me to my face. Proceeded to ask if she had any cinnamon left she gave me an attitude and said there’s nothing left. When I asked for a coffee to go she asked if I wanted it for a take away and I said yes. I was with my toddler and I sat down for a moment to give him rugalach and she proceeded yell at me “ that’s why I asked if you want to take away!“ and she gave me an attitude for sitting down for just a second. Do yourself a favor and give your business to elsewhere nicer and welcoming to their customers. I’ve never been treated so rudely in my life after paying for goods in a store. I will never come back to this discriminating place.

I live in the neighborhood and usually buy just the little pastries here. The pastries are usually fresh and delicious. There is one worker at the checkout counter who is very rude. This worker seems to always be angry and does not have a pleasant demeanor. It’s unfortunate because I do not feel comfortable purchasing anymore at this branch while this person is still working at the counter. There is another worker that is very personable and kind. Just not sure what that workers hours are.

Extremely rude towards customers who are different. Worst customer service ever. Much better bakeries in town. Would rather go somewhere with nicer people especially if I give them business.
Kids love their pastries (adults do too!)

Who doesn't love fresh Marzipan!
Marzipan Bakery and restaurant is my favorite lunch spot in the German Colony. When I say “lunch” I should be clear that your meal could be the only one you need for the day. Although Israelis do not understand the concept of the American style pancake: thick and fluffy, Marzipan’s crepe-like pancake goes down well with fresh fruit, whipped cream and syrup. Hot sandwiches are very nicely done and the side salads round out lunch. Of course, you’re surrounded by freshly baked pastries, cakes and cookies carrying the Marzipan name. Enjoy.

One of the best tomatoes Shakshuka I have ever experienced. Well made and heartly served. highly recommended in the German Colony of Jerusalem.
Above average quality in general although certain products are relatively less exciting than others. Safe bet for shabbat gifting

Excellent pastries and breads. Many variations of whole wheat breads. Beautiful and tasty challahs. My order for many jelly donuts for Chanukah was ready and packed as described when I arrived to pick them up. The Porcupine Cake is worth travelling for. Chocolatey and wonderful.
