This was a pleasant surprise. Friendly service and excellent food. Shrimps in coco and garlic/chili sauce was excellent. Lamb stew also tasteful and tender. Bathroom very clean. Good value for money. We will comeback. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Marguerite’s is a wonderful local restaurant with nice food and strongly recommended by our apartment hosts. It’s BYOB, easy to either go to the local grocer around the corner or across the street to Cheno for some cold beers. Enjoy! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Far too expensive for what you get. Food is not bad but the amount you get is ridiculous wrt. price. Other restaurants in the surroundings are much cheaper Meal type Dinner Food: 3 Service: 3
Hearty, home-cooked and traditional meal! We had the shrimp, fish and beef stew, all with flavoursome rice, lentils, veggies and avocado on the side. Remember you can BYOB, because he doesn’t have a drinks license, but that worked for us anyway. Highly recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Eaten here a few times over the years ( from the uk) always so freindly, calm and home made fresh food. The food there is perfect rustic carribbean food made with a lot of love and care. We enjoy it here so much and hope to be coming back for many years to come would highly recommend anyone visiting castara
We tried this place for dinner just down the hill from our accommodation. We had fresh locally caught fish in coconut sauce, with vegetable and rice. The food was hearty and wholesome, as well as tasty and delicious. A table over had a huge lobster, that they either reserved or brought in themselves to had over for cooking - so this is also another unique and alternative option for dinner. We didn't try it, I am allergic to shellfish! We liked it so much that we went for breakfast here as well. There is a choice eggs, pancakes, hot oats and the usual tropical fruits. The option to try and buy some locally produced chocolate as well.

With limited dinner options on a Sunday evening in Castara, we ducked into this place. We were given the choice of fish, squid, or vegetarian. We each ordered fish and it was a delicious meal of tuna, lentils, rice, and some sautéed veggies. Everything was delicious and we would gladly eat here again.

What a lovely restaurant in Castara. We ate here just 3 weeks ago now. The lobster was absolutely delicious and at a great price. We paid in TT$, but in US$ it came to approximately $27. If I got that lobster in the states it would have very well been over $50. The vegetables and rice on the side were good as well. We also got a shrimp platter that was equally delicious. We got the meal to go as it was getting late and we wanted to eat in our room and then retire for the evening. They gave us to go boxes for most of the food and wrapped the lobster on a serving plate (you can see the lobster and tray in the pictures). They just asked that we bring the plate back the next day..... Coming back the next day and finding that they decided not to open the restaurant that day is why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5. We had wanted to have the soursap ice cream that day and were very disappointed that we ended up leaving the island without having it. It seems that changing opening hours may just be a way of life in Tobago, but since we were specifically told by them that they would be open the next day I feel I can't give the full 5 stars. I would however suggest that if you are in or near Castara and you find Marguarite's open, you will very much enjoy having dinner in this fine establishment.
