Fabulous place to eat. We were staying nearby in Talalla and ate here all 3 nights. Red Mullet with side of noodles, salad and dhal first night. Butter Fish with salad and kotthu second night and Arrack! Amazing seafood platter on final night. Manju is a brilliant host and fantastic cook. Food was wonderfully and delicately spiced. Fuimos a cenar de casualidad y nos encantó. Gran hospitalidad de Manju y su hijo, fue inmejorable. Súper rica la comida muy sabrosa y buen precio. La cerveza 750rp. Comimos kotthu y arroz. Estuvimos conversando con Manju un buen rato y súper agradable, pedirle que os enseñe la colección de billetes y monedas extranjeras. Estuvimos como en casa. Nos regaló un mango para el postre y no nos lo cobró. :D Precios muy baratos, los mejores de la zona. Great place we had a parrot fish and some prawns, fish was very fresh and tasty and cooked really well the prawns were like mini lobsters they were huge! And very reasonably priced. The owner is very friendly, we also saw him at the beach the next morning getting fish directly from the fishermen so definitely as fresh as you can get. Wonderful place, We had lunch there, butter fish with fried rice and parata bread. Superbly cooked with hints of chilli and ginger. Manju was very welcoming and friendly. We came here because of a recommendation from our Hotel we stayed. Manju offered us a fresh Butter-Fish for three persons. It was very Well cooked and tasty!! Not dry at all - he knows how to prepare fish very well! :) We directly arranged a Seafood Plate for the next day with him. He cooked 3 fresh Mullets, Calamari and Prawns, served with different currys and Roti. We Loved his Style of cooking! If we come Back to Talalla we 100% meet again :) Also very reasonable prices!!!

We went to Manju’s twice and had the same dish - something we rarely do! A delicious mixed plate of grilled mullet, calamari and prawns, with a lovely coconut fried rice and yummy tangy fruity salad. Manju is so friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic about serving great food. Excellent value. Recommend.

Me and my boyfriend found this place just by walking and we are SO glad we stopped. Manju, the owner, is not only the sweetest man in Tallala, but he and his family prepare THE BEST RICE AND CURRY EVER. We have been travelling sri lanka for 3 weeks already, and as we are vegan we have been eating rice.and curry pretty much every day But his lunch, oh my god! Incredibly tasty, not too spicy, not.oily at all and very fresh. For a VERY decent price. He was so kind that he also offered us banana juice.in coconut shells cup that he made. An artisan! And he also speaks Italian :p While we were there, monkey came and it was hilarious. Thanks Manju! We love your restaurant!!
