We visited last night, after a handful of times over the past few months. Overall, it’s a good Chinese American restaurant with some winners on the menu. We love their gyoza, and the standard chicken & beef dishes. The Szechuan green beans (and any variation thereof) are great. Value is fantastic! Most entrees are priced around $11-12 which can each be shared between two people. By ordering two entrees with rice we can easily have two separate meals out of this for us both. This time we sat wondering whether management/ownership had changed? Service was bumbling overall … we waited quite a while after we were seated and given drinks. The busser finally ended up asking if we’d ordered yet, and said they’d get somebody to come take the order for us. The girl who had seated us returned to take our order, and two minutes later somebody else came out of the kitchen to do the same, but we told them it had already been given. Then another two minutes after that they came back together and took the order anew. We were confused as to what was going on. Suspiciously soon after ordering, we were given our food. Last night for sake of exploring the menu a bit we had the bobo platter, curry chicken, and pork with green beans. The bobo platter was a good value, with a pair of several classic appetizers. My wife was turned off by the curry chicken, its meat seemed unnaturally tender as if it were some kind of chicken byproduct processed twice over … a texture akin to the infamous McRib that’s essentially formed from molded gluten as I understand. For me it wasn’t a turnoff, but certainly odd. The pork with green beans was excellent. We do plan to return in the next two or three weeks, hopefully last night was just a bad night for them. The reviews we read didn’t match our Saturday dining experience. We went in at 5:30 PM and we were the only diners. For the first 45 minutes we had to put up with the two screaming kids from the owner running around the place.. The server lacked experience. He piled all the dishes on my wife!s side, and I had to constantly remind him not to do so. The Wonton soup was loaded with pepper. The chicken vegetable dish was way too salty! We asked for a redo and it was much better, yet lacked the promised vegetables. The Happy Family dinner lacked the promised fish and shrimp. Moral of the story, reviews don’t always tell the truth. I am literally fan of Chinese food but when it’s good. Wanted to try beef string beans with fried rice. When it’s my first time visit I don’t seek for an adventure and go with the basics. Literally Panda’s fried rice much better. And the meat they served was not fresh at all. Horrible innit? It was my first and last visit for Mandarin Garden. Best Chinese food I've ever had- great fast service and the staff is very friendly. Not too busy, I recommend coming in the late evening. Great chill atmosphere. I recommend the orange chicken, and the egg rolls are to die for. This place never disappoints.

This was our first time here. We will be back. The food was delicious, prices are very reasonable, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The service was pretty quick considering it was Friday evening and the place was full. They have big tables if you have a large party, and also have cozy booths for a more intimate meal. I recommend you give them a chance, you won't regret it.

Mandarin Garden really had great tasting food. Been trying to find a Chinese restaurant like this one. I live in Utah county and will definitely go back to eat there. Kind of stumbled upon this place one night and we were happy that we did. We arrived 50 minutes before closing and the staff was very welcoming in spite of our late arrival. Our server was very attentive. We ordered the sesame beef and the walnut shrimp. Both dishes were very tasty. We will definitely be coming back again.

Incredibly great service, amazing atmosphere and again great food. The way the food was laid out was quite beautifully done and the food oh oh oh the food was some the best I've had, popping off with some flavorful taste! I recommend going here if you're in the area and wanting some tasty food.

Live close by so have come here many times. Unfortunately, the food this time was way too spicy and the overall quality has slipped significantly. We ordered Mongolian beef and House, lo mein, neither of which should have been spicy. Also, the egg drop soup tasted like it had been scorched. Too bad as it was convenient for us. I was really impressed with the service and food. It's a quite hidden place in a strip mall. But it does not fail to deliver. Service was quick, good was hot and delicious. They had an excellent egg drop soup.
