Ate at Malli's tonight. Lovely location and dining area. We chose to sit outside. I'm not into seafood so we both went for a rare steak with black peppercorn sauce. Generous sized steak cooked to perfection. Finished off with a lovely chocolate mousse. We couldn't fault anything. The prices may appear high by Sri Lankan standards, but are incredibly reasonable by European standards. Would recommend Malli's 100% 😋😊PS I had started to eat the steak before taking the photo! What an amazing little gem. This place is a hidden paradise. Right beside a lake, the atmosphere here is serene. The food is exquisite, they really know their seafood. The seafood salad and the crabs and prawns were cooked to perfection in the black pepper sauce. The service is top notch also. Will definitely be returning again and again... Went for Christmas Day. The food and drinks were delicious, service was excellent and the price is decent for the quality you get. We sat by the river for drinks first and then moved inside for dinner. I would recommend this place to anyone! Note it is a little out of the way and when we arrived we were worried we might be the only ones there but as the evening passed it got really busy! A hidden gem amid a rural village setting that opens up onto a beautiful river with a mangrove border. Absolutely beautiful with a delicious unpretentious menu. We had crab, cuttlefish, king fish, prawns and more. The food was made to perfection! We were there to celebrate a special occasion and the staff went out of their way to set up a small private spot for us and even played with my two year old while we ate, which was a special treat!! Even the kids menu is excellent! I couldn’t help but steal some of the chicken schnitzel off my son’s plate. The mango juice was so fresh and thick with what I believe was the local mango variety, which I have found hard to find anymore in Colombo. Simply a delightful night! We truly appreciated it!! Superb Seafood and Friendly Service! Peaceful and relaxing location, amazing seafood and friendly service made my birthday celebrations even more special. The starter roti with various dips was moreish and made sure your taste buds were ready for the delicious seafood platter. The lobster was fantastic and while the beef tenderloin missed the mark and the credit card machine was not working (fortunately I had enough cash available), the friendly and warm service from the staff to make my birthday a special occasion was highly appreciated! Love the space and the location right by the river. I ordered the seafood curry and it was really tasty with a hearty amount of seafood. Also tried the Arrack cocktail - yum! Staff were really nice and have a good sense of humour. The only thing was Google maps wanted to bring me on a very off the track route which was not passable. We (2 people) made a reservation online and went there by Tuktuk. It was a great experience and it was really worth to check out that place!
