À propos
If you happen to be around K1 Speed Seattle, visit this restaurant. Guests point out that they like the menu of Malaysian and Singaporean cuisines here. Make a change from your habitual meal and taste nicely cooked chili crab, beef satay and fried fish at Malay Satay Hut. Tasty asida, pudding and pancakes are the tastiest dishes. Order good beer. Great milk tea, iced coffee or smoothies are the best drinks of this place. This spot is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Here you will pay low prices. There is a quiet atmosphere and lovely decor at this restaurant. Based on the users' feedback on Google, Malay Satay Hut deserved 4.1.

Small portion sizes, not much flavor, and eggshell. Ordered takeout on Uber eats. I don't know whether its on the restaurant or on Uber eats, but none of the dishes came with rice. Were they supposed to come with rice? Who knows. I would expect so given the prices I paid, but I guess it didn't explicitly say it would so sure that's on me. In that case, the main dishes are just overpriced. The Singapore rice noodles were fairly under flavored. I picked the extra spicy option, and I'm not sure what that means at this restaurant but it sure as hell wasn't spicy. Seemed like a watered down version of every Singapore Fried noodles I've had literally anywhere else. Also, those Singapore rice noodles? Came with a nice serving of eggshell. Not even like small pieces that you could possibly accidentally miss. Really just not a great look. Finally, the roti canai came looking depressed and the potato sauce bit was the tiniest possible serving they could've given us. There might have been a single piece of potato in there. We also ordered hot and spicy chicken with cashew, ma po chili tofu, fried veggie rolls, and chicken satay. Nothing came with rice (which I would've expected with the entrees), literally everything was under flavored, and the chicken satay had very sad half skewers (as in the skewers were less than half full of meat and small to begin with). In general, just not great. Definitely not coming back again. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 1
We were here with a big group for lunch and they have good seating options for big and small groups. It’s a lovely beach-shack vibe inside. The food is great too and it was my first time experiencing the Malaysian and fusion dishes. Or orders took a while to arrive but they came pretty quickly after that. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Personally I’d highly recommend the Nasi Lemak and some fresh lime juice to wash it down. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Malay Fried Rice

We have been a big fan of Malay Satay Hut for over two decades . We used to frequent their restaurant in Seattle but now drive the extra miles to Redmond to enjoy their delicious food. Our kids love the food too and we are never disappointed in the service or the meals. We have even celebrated two milestone birthdays with them, where they provided catering and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Walk in and sit down, someone will be right with you. Scan the code for the menu. Scroll through the menu, order the food. Wait over 25 minutes for your food to arrive. 1 persons plate was cold. The first time here, food was okay. The regular drinks were okay, less flavorful. Not sure if that is just how it's made or it was just too watery. The place has capacity to accommodate 8 people for my team lunch (round table). For appetizers, we had rpto chenai and chicken satay. Those were good. We had beef rendang which was fantastic. The Hainanese chicken was good too. We also had mango chicken, Singapore Fried vermicelli, pineapple fried rice, cuttlefish, which were all good. The only dish which was not that great was coconut jumbo shrimp. That was too salty for our liking. The waitress was very responsive and attentive. She made sure our glass had water all the time. Had 'Curry Veggies with Yellow Noodle' with tofu (no meat - I am vegan). Food was tasty, flavorful and delicious. Portion size could have been better for the price point or rice could have been offered on the side. Slightly slow service (I was the one of the 2 guests at 4 pm and it still took long). Ambience is good (It has skylight!). No spice customization possible (I wanted 5/5) but waitress offered a sauce on the side which was neither tasty nor hot/spicy. :-( Waitress was able to easily understand my vegan need and make the dish vegan. Waitress cared to check if everything was good a few minutes after the dish was served. I been here a couple of times. The service is always a little slow. There tends to be only two waiters. You have to chase them down for water refill and the check. If you choose to come here make sure you have at least 90 minutes to spare. The dishes are either a hit or miss. The portion is a little small for price point. Their dishes do not come with rice. A small bowl is $2.50 GOOD: The oyster pancake omelet under the appetizer section is fairly good. Even if you don't like seafood, the oyster does not taste fishy. The house dry curry beef is pretty good as well.It is fairly tender too. AVOID( do not order this dish) -Hainanese chicken with rice. It was mostly bones. The chicken and the rice had no flavor. The soup was boring too. The beef brisket in a pot was 90% potatoes. The flavor is there but don't think it is a a good value. This place could fit a large group since decent amount of tables. There is waiter service but they do make you download the menu via QR code on table. The parking situation is decent. There are plenty of parking spots in this plaza. It is hard to find a spot right in front of the restaurant. There are gender based restrooms. The women's restroom was ok clean..could have been worst. I probably won't be back anytime soon. This place also serves alcohol, bubble tea and fruit smoothies. I rather walk 30 seconds to tapioca express where the avocado smoothie is way cheaper. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

We came to try it out on a Friday lunch time. Plenty of seating. Large menu, decent food. Not the best Malaysian food I've had in the US. Teh Tarik was my favorite item here. We had fish, Nasi Lemak, satay sticks. Satay sticks were flavorful enough not to need much of the peanut satay sauce, which was lacking in flavor, but was better than the Nasi Lemak and the fish fillet with a spicy sauce covering it. $80 for the two of us was expensive, and will not be going back. We had a family style lunch here today that included the roti kanai, Singapore fried rice, pad Thai noodles, curry laksa, black pepper lamb and honeydew boba iced tea. Everything tasted authentic and delicious. Reasonable prices and good portions coupled with great flavor makes this a consistent restaurant in the area. Our go to restaurant when we miss flavors from home (Indonesia is Malaysia's neighbor so flavor profile is very similar). Nasi lemak ayam is always delicious and their Hainanese Chicken Rice is pretty good too.
