The place is good. There is no big mistake. It's a bit confusing to make kola malluma from grass. I got sand in my teeth twice when eating it. It would be better if the pictures of the student heroes were enlarged to 1 1/2 feet and hung for ease of viewing. This is the main canteen of Uva Wellassa University. Rather compare to other cafeterias of universities (here I only mentioned about universities which I have visited) I prefer this cafeteria most because of the "cleanliness". Cleaning staff of here is doing great work to keep cafeteria clean and also students doing their best to maintain the cleanliness. Also there is a proper way for garbage disposal. Sometimes there is little doubt with the quality of the food, but who cares when the food is cheap. 😉 perfect for student budget. Surround of UWU is perfect and it is heavenly made for students to get together. For most people it is just a canteen but for all the students of UWU it is සමාජය for them.

This is coming from a non UWU student. I agree they love this place to have their melas and moments in life but in reality there are certain aspects to improve. Dishes need to be thoroughly washed. They are smelly "සිනි/පිලි ගන්දයි" and it makes hard for a person to eat. Portion size is decent for the affordable price.

Very clean place to have food and food also can buy for a fair price. Price of the meals are affordable. Besides bookshop is there with printout and photocopy facilities. Washrooms also are very clean. 24 hours CCTV cameras in operation.

This is the place where Uva Wellessa University students meet and chat during their leisure time and free time between the lectures. Here Sinhala , Tamil, and Muslim students get together and share their different opinions and have fun with each other.
