We came here for some sunset cocktails. We thought because of the prices we would at least have high quality cocktails. Turns out this was wrong. Anyone who knows anything about liquor could take one look at the bar and know it’s extremely low quality.
Such a shame because it’s a really nice place with a good view. I saw a bottle of woodford reserve at a dive bar in Koh Tao and here they were just displaying a bottle of Jim Beam.
Also the king cube in my Boulevardier was really ugly, i’m not sure what i’m paying for it it’s not effort or drink quality.
Also, we were charged a 10% service fee witch was strange because literally no one talked to us the entire time except for the server and all she said was “ready to order?”
There was also a huge projector with someone’s random computer screen (pictured bellow) and it really killed the vibe.

Fantastic rooftop (24th Floor) location to meet for drinks and photos from one of the best views to catch sunset over Chiang Mai. Quality food offerings are not their strength, and the adult beverages were strong on price and weak on bite, but hey, what about that amazing view?! Service was great, too, so all-in-all a worthwhile quick stop in for a drink or two and a photo-bomb session at sunset

As a Chiang Mai resident for many years I was keen to try out the new 'Mai The Sky Bar' so when I had some visitors come over to Thailand, I took them up there. It had the sort of 'swanky' feel you would expect at a rooftop of a major hotel and offered clean and comfortable surroundings. It was about as pricey as I expected at such a bar and the drinks and snacks were good. Staff were efficient but not really sociable.
Views are good for Chiang Mai, though nothing spectacular - other than sunsets. The visit was relatively expensive for a small group and everyone's opinion after, was "it was OK, but nothing special" which is a bit of a shame. It reflected my own opinion that there was just no atmosphere in the place, and the staff could have been more enthusiastic.
One problem I will recount. I visited reception at the Meliá twice before my group arrived, and asked about anything special happening on the roof, or special promotions, before I brought my group there, and was told NO on both occasions. When we did finally visit, I was annoyed to see a list of daily promotions as we entered the rooftop area. Very poor internal communications there! See my picture of the Daily Promotions
Great setting. Good smart courteous staff. Horrible food. Which totally spoiled the experience.
On menu it says sweet potato fries. But when ordering was told it will be regular fries. But was assured that will be served with hummus and their spicy special tomato dips.
Got served with ketchup. When asked for the dips as on the menu we waited 10min to get very old bad tasting some sort of half dried hummus from a can. I had to go spit it out in the bathroom from fear of getting sick.
Then we inquired about the still missing tomato dip and once again a 10min wait and was inedible too.
Salmon dish was well presented but not fresh and tasteless. Summer spring rolls disappointing too.

Very nice food, view and services.
Fusion food is nice to try. The important things is price affordable. Not expensive at all 🧡
Beside that, staff is welcoming and friendly. Plus they can speak English well.

Visited for the view was not disappointed 360 view around chiang mai
but i may not want to come back for food nor cocktails to be honest. The beef on skewer was tasty but a bit tough and the orange cocktail there taste like juice and the martini also bland hope they can improve, environment is good service is good too overall is good

Stunning view, one of a kind bar in Chiangmai. The drink as well as food selections are excellent & interesting. Staffs are great, especially Hostess Romina for her very welcoming and graceful and polite attitude and Bar Manager Francisco who made an unforgettable experience. Overall, it is a shame if you are not checking out Mai The Sky Bar when visiting Chiangmai
