Hey team at the Mackenthun's bakery, just wanted to give a huge shoutout for the amazing smash cake you crafted for my daughter's first birthday party (groovy one theme). You totally nailed it, surpassing my expectations! I sent a pic of my inspiration, and you went above and beyond. Plus, the pricing was so affordable. Thanks for making her day extra special! 🎂

Prices are fairly reasonable given the location and the interior is pleasant and well decorated. Very easy to navigate. One of the nicest grocery stores in the West Metro. Looking forward to their new location coming to Minnetrista soon!

I've been on the hunt for chocolate Easter bunnies to accommodate a child with allergies, and found out Mackenthun's carries the Vermont Nut Free Chocolates brand. Cathy didn't hesitate to special order the bunnies I was looking for, and the staff even went the extra mile to call me with an ETA and wrap them up so the surprise wasn't spoiled when I picked them up with kids in tow. And the price was reasonable! To say I'm impressed with their customer service is a serious understatement. The store is always clean and well-stocked, and staff seems genuinely happy to help. I'll be shopping here frequently!

My daughter just got hired at this store, it's her first job and this is the place she picked because she said she feels the most comfortable there with her anxiety. She felt (as I also do) that the staff seemed really kind and caring and noticed how they really try to give people a chance (they work with special ed as well). This speaks volumes to me both as a mom and a customer. As a customer, I also really like their store, it is clean, well kept, and I love their deli and salad bar. I saw someone complaining that they had to bag their own groceries....personally, I like bagging my own groceries, but they just hired a bunch of kids (my daughter being one of them) to help out with bagging, so to that customer who complained--help is on the way! (LOL)

This is the first time I've been to this place since a LONG time ago when they were located downtown. This is one of the nicest grocery stores I've been in a long time from a unique and design perspective. I grew up in Aberdeen, SD and our local grocery store is the best I've seen and this is a very close second. I came here specifically for the tiger meat. I love that and the only other place I've gotten it was in Aberdeen. Kudos to the store designers, owners, and management. This is a wonderful place to visit and shop. While we didn't eat here, the deli, bakery, and meat area were awesome. I think I will come back again to spend more time here! :) If you haven't visited this place, be sure to add it to your bucket list.

Great small town store but after almost a year you would think they could post the correct cost for the deli meals. Everything is about $1.00 more than they show online. After this long it's starting to feel like false advertising.
