The food is actually pretty good. The atmosphere is ok, but I haven't had the need to sit in and dine. The service, however, is what affected my review.
It can be a bit slow, and this last visit, the lady working was extremely rude! It was 3 days before Christmas, and they no longer 'did day to day business' ONLY pre-orders.
I overlooked the 8x10 white paper sign at the door entrance and told her "you all should have a sign" which she replied "there is one at the door, read it" as I was walking out.
Personally, I won't go back there and give my business to an ungrateful small business owner. I would rather go across the street to "El Guero" or ACROSS town to Delia's instead.

The reason for the 4 stars is the small filling portion and the price for them. But if the tamal gets thicker with Love the price is fine and the 5 stars pour in on their own.

You have to stop here and try for yourselves. The taste of these handmade tamales is Deliciously Delectable.The taste brought back memories from my childhood days when my Grandmother and Mother and Aunts used to gather around at Christmas time to make Tamaladas/Tamales for all family
These are Authentically hand made and cooked just right! With no masa sticking on the husk. Forget the Machine made tamales at Delia's and other big chain Tamaleras these are awesome and delicious.

Lady in the front so rude! I just called to let them know we found something disgusting in my daughters tamale and she runs off as to we wanted something free or money back! No! We didn’t just wanted to let her know they need to be more careful then hangs up on me.

This place is something else! Excellent customer service first of all. Then of course the tamales are delicious. They have great color and texture and of course flavor. I would say which is my favorite but they are all extremely good! The salsas hit the spot with both complementing all the tamales. Then last but not least just hit them with a hint of lime! Thank you the Lupitas Tamales for a wonderful experience!

We made the drive down here lured in by good reviews and higher expectations but these tamales are so small and skinny they were even worth it. They put so little meat in the center as well. I found a hair within the corn husk of the tamale it was disgusting

I’m from Edinburg, Tx. My daughter Kristine Perez, Juarez lives in the area and introduced me to Lupita’s tamales. More that 10 years ago. I love the holidays because she’s wonderful at having all sorts of varieties when it comes to 🫔 ‘s . She’s the best!!!
