Before we even got into the building the staff were assisting us. My sister is disabled and uses a mobility scooter and we were headed in the wrong direction to go into the building. An employee saw us and showed us where to go. The atmosphere was awesome. The wait staff were wonderful. The food was totally scrumptious. And there was entertainment for that night. An Elvis impersonator who did a wonderful job. We will definitely be going back.

UPDATE: Had lunch today and it was absolutely terrific. I had crab ravioli in pink sauce and could have ordered 3 more plates! I love the ambiance and service too. This is one of my favorite places to dine in San Angelo!
If I could give them 10 stars for the food I would! This was one of the best meals I have had in San Angelo in a long time! The atmosphere is fabulous, our waiter was very nice and very helpful, and I think I chose one of the best dishes on the entire menu. I believe it was called the aristocrat. My entree had pasta, chicken a delicious white sauce and red peppers. Another bonus was the portions. I have enough for another meal tomorrow! Also we had bread and vodka sauce, also called pink sauce, for our appetizer and it was out of this world. We also tried the mushrooms and they were delicious. Cannot wait to go back!

This is a quiet and quaint Italian restaurant. I ate chicken Florentine with fresh spinach and cream sauce. It was delicious! They serve fresh and hot bread but it does not come with any oil containing spices. I wish they served that with their bread! Overall this place is excellent!

Went to Luigis's today. We had the calamari, and the Luigi Special l, which i accidentally ordered. I actually wanted the Luigi combo. The restaurant went ahead and made me the combo too!!! I was content though, but wow above and beyond. We also had the ravioli and meatballs. Great food. Fantastic service. Very relaxed, not many people there dining tonight. I'll be back.

Ordered water, had a funny taste. So got a dr pepper, still had same gross taste looked and had a film over it. The food was not its greatest. Go specials for myself and my husband and the Murphys plate which is chicken noodles in a sherry wine sauce with canned Jalapenos, onions and mushrooms was more like a soup (really watery) i got the lunch combo. It was ok. Not great. Lacked flavor. Overall will not be coming here again.

Casual atmosphere, server are very attentive and kind. The food is great but I've never gone here when they are busy. If you are looking for Italian in San Angelo, skip Olive Garden and Napolis and go here. I had the chicken pamodoro and the meatball sub the last time I went. I have not been disappointed. Extra bonus-overhead music is good, not contemporary pop.

Luigi's is a cozy little Italian place in San Angelo that has great food and drinks. I had a peach Bellini that was delicious and chicken fettuccine. They have a lovely dessert menu as well. I had the lemoncello with a cup of coffee and it was perfect. Most of all we love the soft and warm atmosphere. A little pricey but worth it. I promise.

Everything about our meal was on point. Waitress was perfect, the food was amazing. When Charlie found out we were from Abilene, he sent us on our way with some Limoncello, on the house.
Thank you to the whole restaurant for a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back.

I will begin my review with the things I felt this restaurant did well. The staff was extremely kind and attentive to our needs. The presentation of their dishes was highly visually appealing. The calamari was absolutely delicious and all the pasta dishes were mostly great. The Luigi special could have been a bit more spicy, I understand that is personal preference though.
Some things that I strongly believe this restaurant can work towards becoming five stars are related to the attention towards detail. The first issue we encountered was related to one of the side dishes, our cheese sticks had a long hair on it. I understand that mistakes happen and they were apologetic about it. However, food safety is highly important and as a Public Health professional, observing a long hair on my food indicates that someone was not wearing headgear in the kitchen to cover their hair. If corners are cut there, what other things could there be corners cut with?
The second thing that happened was that the waiter forgot to place two of our children's dishes into the order, this lead to them watching others as they ate until their orders were eventually ready. One of the staff members stated that they were sorry for the inconvenience and that the items would be "on the house". To my surprise, I was still definitely charged for the dishes I question. There was no initial expectation for the plates to be on the house; however, if a staff member communicates to a customer that the dish is on the house, the customer will expect them to follow through with their promise.
I strongly considered not tipping for essentially being sold an empty promise. However, I also understood that mistakes happen and the waiter treated us with kindness.
The next item in question was the bread, it looks delicious but is devoid of any flavor. When we asked for oil, vinegar, and herbs to dip our bread in, they followed through with just the oíl and herbs. This was another instance where attention to detail was absent.
Would I ever consider eating at Luigi's again or recommend it to others? The answer is absolutely yes. I believe this restaurant and its staff possess the blueprint towards becoming a great local restaurant. We all make mistakes and can learn from them. I would certainly give Luigi's another shot and I believe that they can grow from this experience.
