Visiting from out of town. Best burger i have tried. Fresh ingredients and delicious meat burger. Got to take away to eat at the beach with my hubby. AAAAA++++++ Stopped in before we left town and had a Cheese and mushroom Omelette. Once again a A+ meal. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Wonderful new affordable find at Waihi Beach. Exceptional service. So polite and professional. We had the Mixed Grill. Delicious. A great way try the menu's 3 meat dishes. Really want small business in waihi beach to succeed but was so disappointed and shocked by rudeness. Wanted to do something special for grieving 88 year old gramdma. (Pops passed away 6 weeks prior) she has what I call ‘old ladies stomach’. You know can’t take too much spice or garlic. Asked to switch the way the potatoes were prepped, from spice roasted to mashed, something that was on other menu options and was refused. Saw waitress ask chef, who was watching and heard the whole conversation, also didn’t really even consider it. Just said ‘no’. Should have walked out then, but options are limited in waihi beach over the Christmas break. I went with lamb, she with chicken breast. Mine was unevenly cooked, and her chicken breast was so dry she kept putting it on my plate. For a woman who usually boils her broccoli until it is yellow, for her to say something is tasteless is quite surprising. As mentioned really disappointed for what was meant to be a special evening. We went on Jan 2nd. Just walked in. We had a small dog with us. We asked if it was ok and they said sure joined tables together outside for our group. Nothing was a problem. The service was great. The food was great. We left nothing on our plates. We really enjoyed our time and food. Definately a place i would go back to. Just came home from a very tasty Italian dinner at Lucca’s The food was absolutely yummy, well presented & great friendly service! A wonderful warm welcome & was happy to suggest items from menu when asked for servers favourites. Highly recommend this place, what a great addition to the village food offering. Bookings will be necessary in the silly season, but try now before they get too busy!!! Open both lunch & dinner & cabinet food too! For our meal we started with chicken Quesadillas for shared starter, yum! Then for mains: Chicken fettuccine, spaghetti Bolognaise & Steak medallions - beautifully presented & oh so tasty! Was greeted by a waitress who approached the table and said “are you ready?” Knowledge of the menu and drinks was so poor that we ended up leaving without ordering. Sorry but it was an incredibly poor first impression. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
