an out of the way restaurant in an out of the way town. on the last stop on the the B train from Porto, on the docks, you’ll find Eduardo’s place. There’s no menu, he is the menu…he tells you what the price is for the number of people who are coming. the fish soup is extra…it’s good, but it’s personal preference. The clams, shrimp, crab, and barnacles are delicious. you’ll find yourself sitting at a table in a nondescript restaurant wondering how you got lucky enough to find and enjoy the service and food of Eduardo’s. If you’re near Povoa De Varzim, this needs to be on your radar: it’s a local favorite.

Love this place! I wandered down here to check it out and decided to stay. There’s no menu, just a big plate of seafood meant for two or more people. As I was only one, he let me get a pile of shrimp for five euros. The choices were barnacles, clams, or shrimp. I also ordered the fish soup. He showed me how to peel the shrimp (camarones de costa) but it was not easy for a city dweller like me. Absolutely worth the labor and incredibly tasty. The place is loud and local. He says that he also gets a lot of pilgrims from the Camino. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

You know its gonna be a fresh food trip when the waiter replies "there is no menu, only plate for X people" :D Loved every minute of it, very attentive service, amazing food (white clams and crab dig being the best) and good atmosphere, if a bit loud-Portugese one. Definitely a recommend! P.s. Don't let the road to it deter you, it is worth it!

I guess they only offer 2 dishes here - soup (that we did not try) and this set of see food - crabs, prawns, shrimls and clums and barnacles (have not tried those before). The mix in the crabs was good, yet the pieces of crab shell was a bit distructing. Price per person €45–50

This off the beaten path gem, is right on the pier in Povao de Varzim. Super nice owners with amazing fresh seafood. Eat everything!

Very nice simple seafood plate. The staff was very friendly. We had a bit long waiting as it was packed but was worth it . Very local atmosphere. Definitely can recommend to visit!

Eduardo takes care of us and provides a great experience. If you are not willing to eat seafood this restaurant is not for you. Great seafood and a good value for money.

It is not possible to choose the type of food from the menu, the fish dish is served cold and the price is quite high compared to the quality

Fresh off the boat sea food, nice attentive family. A real hidden gem in Povoa. Wish I’ve discovered this earlier, have to wait for next year

Good shellfish. Price is said to be the lowest in the area, not so true.. Still good fresh seafood.
