I had an amazing experience at Atole de Abuelita in Ataco, El Salvador! Maria was fantastic in explaining the menu, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. For just 2 people, we paid less than $15.00, and that included 8 delicious dishes, 2 drinks, and an extra side of sour cream.
The Atole drink was an absolute delight! It's a traditional Central American beverage made with masa, water, and flavored with cinnamon and sugar. It was so tasty and comforting.
One of the highlights of the meal was the Rigua de Elote, a delightful corn tamale. They were incredibly delicious and full of flavor, a real treat for the taste buds.
Speaking of corn tamale, the corn tamalitos were equally delightful and added to the overall wonderful dining experience.
The service was quick, and being seated on the 2nd floor offered breathtaking views. The staff was friendly, and you could taste the freshness in every bite of the food. Overall, it was an amazing experience at Atole de Abuelita, and I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a delightful taste of El Salvador's cuisine.

What a trash factory. I ordered 3 riguas and an atole for dine-in. The atole came in a styrofoam cup. The 3 riguas came on 3 different styrofoam plates with 3 different plastic forks. What a wasteful way to serve your food at a sit-down restaurant. The food was good, but not worth a pound of trash per person. Please go elsewhere!!
