This is not Michelin. I don’t know why it shows up on their search but this is far from it. We went for dinner, were greeted and told we could have a cocktail before dinner. Then we were told it was happy hour so buy one get one free for an hour. The drinks took so long to arrive and then they forgot about the buy one get one. We were then quickly asked what we wanted to eat. The menu is clunky, makes no sense and no direction was given. The table was full of little bugs when we sat down. It was extremely hot and although they had fans outside they did not use them or even offer to bring one over. Our drinks melted while waiting for someone to finally come back and take our order for another round of drinks. That too took a long time. The food was not great. I’ve had better at hotels here in Koh Samui. The entire experience is based off this beautiful view. Which it has. However, if you are totally uncomfortable, hot, hungry and thirsty, the view quickly doesn’t matter. There is no order to the restaurant. They need help learning how to serve, share the menu options, explain various courses, and proactively attend to the tables and show people what they need to know. If you are looking for a Michelin experience, this is not it. I don’t know if they ever had a star ⭐️ but if so, I am certain they are not on the list anymore and I can see why. Maybe at one point someone cared but now, it’s just a mess. Also, I’ll add on the positive side the cake they made for our family member celebrating a birthday was delicious. That part of the night was done well but they came right out and asked, birthday now? So, no surprise for the guest of honor. The price was very expensive compared to other places in Thailand and was not warranted due to the experience and food along with lack of good service. Super bummed. We wanted this to be amazing! One of must check in place in samui, the restaurant is located in Cape Fahn Hotel, you can park the car and get the free boat transfer, it took just 2-3 mins to hotel. Staff is attentive and nice. Foods are yummy, tasty and some menus is a kind of fusion. Traditional souhthern thai dishes are very authentic thai taste. We ordered a lot of menus and all is delicious. Grilled mussels with herbs, curry with pumpkin, boiled salty fish with belly pork, crab meat curry are all good. They actually served free rice with unlimited. Foods came fast and almost all at once. We really enjoyed all dishes and atmosphere here. Also ordered all Thai dessert and tasted very good (some menu we ever ordered twice). Foods are a bit pricy but worth to try all. You can come to celebrate special occation as well. Menus might bw changed from different seasonality. So better check with staff before booking. Besides, you will see the sign with 2 dogs owned by the hotel that might accommodate you roundtrip (if you prefer not to see them, can inform the reception staff). The best restaurant during my stay at Samui. It is Southern Authentic Thai food. Some dishes are very unique and difficult to find. The taste is so good with a great view of sunset. All staff are friendly and provide 5 stars service. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ฿1,000+

I had the most incredible experience at this Thai restaurant in Thailand. The food was exceptional, truly authentic Thai cuisine that left my taste buds dancing with delight. The setting was breathtaking, right by the sea, and with the full moon casting a magical glow, it felt like a scene from a dream. The warm and welcoming staff made me feel like royalty, ensuring that my dining experience was perfect from start to finish. The ambiance was nothing short of enchanting, with the gentle sounds of the waves and the moonlight reflecting off the water. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. If you want to savor delicious Thai dishes in a mesmerizing seaside setting under the full moon, this is the place to be. It's a memory I will cherish forever. A lovely dinner at this charming resort set on its own island - off Koh Samui's north east coast. All dishes were nicely prepared with fresh ingredients. Although I feel the menu could do more with sharper, savage spices to capture full southern Thai flavours. The experience from their thoughtful complimentary southern Thai flair hors d'oeuvre to the main dishes and local desserts were absolutely delectable from beginning to end. Beyond the marvelous food and the resort's amazing setting on its own island, the service and the ambiance of the place were very well appointed and cared for by the team. The electricity had gone out quite multiple times - but very briefly - due to extremely windy and rain weather, but the delicious southern Thai plates stole the show! The new restaurant of Michelin star chef David Thompson, the menu is very limited as chef already selected the best southern thai dish, every single dish is tasty, we really love the braised pork ribs and chamuang leaves, it is so refreshing. Grilled mussels with special sauce is also the good, this shouldn’t be missed, if you like to enjoy good food with good view.
A fantastic experience and one of the best places we ate during our visit to Samui. If you’re not already staying at the resort, you’ll need to cross the water to get to the small island, but they offer complimentary round-trip boat service. The ambience in the restaurant is totally on point for an upscale beach theme. The menu is unique, and everything we ordered from appetizer to main course to dessert was amazing. Will definitely come here again on our next visit. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ฿1,000+
Highly unprofessional service and food tastes doesn’t worth any Michelin recommendation. While we were there, it was a power cut probably from electric shock of some of the light. While staffs keep turning the light on, the light keeps turning itself off again and again. After a while, all the table got the candle lid for their tables except ours so we asked for one because it was too dark to eat (we were only halfway through the meal). The table that got candles was already having some lights from outside while we set on the small corner behind. After waiting for more than 15 mins, there are no candle for our tables so we asked and they said they have ran out of candle?!? So we checked and left. What a terrible experience! The manager was blaming the light but it’s not the light it’s the biased service they were offering. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
This was the most horrible experience I've ever had at a restaurant. First of all: Most of the dishes were out of order. The food we ordered was absolutely horrible: The chicken was dry, we both had bones and gristles in the chicken, the vegetables tasted like watery seagrass. I am really disappointed since they say it's a Michelin star restaurant but even the turkish street food I know is better, trust me in this. The Thai wine was very sour. I have been already to many Michelin restaurants in Europe like La Pergola in Italy and many more - they were all excellent. This here is not Michelin. I ate Thai kitchen several times in my life and I never experienced something in this kind of way. At least they refunded the food (I could only eat two bites of it) and the staff was very polite and apologized for it. The cook David Thompson, who stands for this restaurant, has no idea how to cook or what's delicious. I studied hotel specialist and I worked with cooks togheter and never met anyone who cooks like this. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is very kind and the room is excellent. The other restaurant in this hotel is very good as well - we ate after this disaster in the other restaurant in this hotel. The hotel itself earns 5 stars but this restaurant will get not even 1 star. Here are some pictures, if you have ever been to a Michelin star restaurant, your food will not even look like that, see pictures below. With David Thompson at the helm you would expect Long Dtai to be wonderful, and it is! From the adventure of getting there (by boat or 4wd) across the water, to a private island, you are then taken by golf-buggy to the location atop a rocky headland overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. The food nods to southern Thai cuisine yet is inventive, unique and full of bold flavors and pairings. We had the 9-course set menu and matched it with a local Thai craft beer. The resident manager Olivier was excellent as were all of the staff. This is exactly the type of restaurant that was missing from the Samui dining scene. Get in quick, as this is set to become a place that you will need to book months in advance for a table.
