Amazing service from all staff, specially our waitress Mackenzie was such a lovely! The food was delicious with the usual well served Lone Star portions and nice atmosphere. 👍: -Probably one of my favourite restaurants from my trip to NZ, nice interior decor of a Cowboy texan Style restaurant. -Very very decent sized portions at a very reasonable price. -The redneck ribs were the best item amongst all. Ribs were well seasoned and tender and fell of the bone soft and juicy. -Friendly staff and excellent service. 👎: -The interior lighting is a little dim, else I loved the overall dining experience otherwise! We dined in at Lone Star Rotorua tonight and couldn't have been more impressed! If I could give 10 stars for service I would, our waitress Amelia was absolutely outstanding, attentive without being overbearing, anticipated our needs perfectly and nothing was too much trouble, she was so accommodating and welcoming. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was great even with a toddler in tow, even he hasn't been that relaxed in a restaurant before! So impressed, thank you Lone Star Rotorua and Amelia! Always a great place for excellent well cooked food, great range of cold drinks. Brilliant place for celebrating etc. As we are seniors and don't eat much we have only the starters which are all generous in size. This then leaves room for their scrumptious deserts. There are great vouchers you can give to friends to use as well. We don't go at busy times so you get great interaction with the staff. Thanks Jago. Exceptional dining experience, we hadn't made reservations and the staff were more than accommodating as soon as we walked through the doors. Prices are amazing especially the kids meals with free drinks and dessert. Wait staff have impeccable table service, the entire area was very clean including the restrooms. Food was served hot and super fast, not to mention delicious and massive portions. I highly recommend to all, I was super impressed and will definitely be back again next time I'm in Rotorua.

Kind attentive service. The host was professional and the waitress was lovely. Offered to move us from the "corridor" table but we were fine. It was a warm evening and we were close to the door of the balcony. Lovely. It was moderately busy. The menu has shrunk somewhat over the last few years. Understandable though in current food cost climate. The food was great. Burrito packed with goodness and my sisters steak was huge. Garlic bread awesome. Mussels were a bit small and lacking a little in flavour but not overcooked. The affogato comes in an edible cup! Don't bother though. It may be edible but wasn't pleasant at all and I thought I might be able to pour the espresso into the cup. Nope. Leaked. Had to quickly pour back into demitasse. I don't know what the point of the "edible" cup was then? Overall though this was a happy experience. Great location with a lot of choice on the menu, I had the steak, and it was good, meat good have been better, but overall, my experience was good. Friendly staff and good customer service.
