Well, I stopped by lil Pumpkin Pie Co. @ Riverstone and purchased a $25 mixed berry pie at the beginning of the market. Asked if I could pick it before I left and she said no problem. A wind storm came up an hour later and MY Mistake, I woke up the next morning and realized what I had done leaving my pie.
(100% my mistake) Tried to find her business and call but couldn't so went to Hayden market 3 days later first thing and found her. Thinking she would laugh and simply replace it, or have brought mine as that would be great, she looked at me and said "I gave it away, I didn't want to eat it" I realized she was serious and said, "that is your response? I do not know how to respond to that" I also offered that since she "gave my pie away" how about I come to the end of your day and whatever you have left over, that would be fine. She said "I always sell out"
(awful customer service)So some will say, your fault, you left the pie" very true....I just wonder how these people act when they happen to make a mistake. I'm sure the pie would have been wonderful. I will NEVER know, but it was the most expensive pie I have ever purchased and never tasted.
I was on the search for the best mixed berry pie in CDA and I found it here! I realize that the best pie is based on personal preference, but this pie has everything I love about pie. We compared four different pies before finding this pie is our favorite. The berry flavor is rich and intense and still has the berries intact. It has the perfect crumble top and a great filling to crust ratio. I have only had the mixed berry so far, but I will be trying many more. CDA has an excellent selection of pie vendors that all make very good pies, but the Lil' Punkin Pie Co. Checks all of our boxes!
